www.labonpain.com Black Velvet Patisserie is the newest bakery in downtown Mooresville, NC. BVP specializes in French pastries, cakes and breads. We bake everything fresh in the bakery each day. Nothing is pulled from a box and it is all made from scratch. Our selections change everyday; with the exception of our staples of éclairs, cookies, sticky buns and breads. We also feature cupcakes and mini cakes daily, in different flavors.
Eric Greenwell is the owner and executive pastry chef at Black Velvet Patisserie. He was born and raised in the Charlotte area and worked in the newspaper industry for many years. Three years ago, Eric graduated from the French Pastry School in Chicago and has returned to Mooresville to bring his heavenly desserts and breads to the South. When asked what his favorite thing to bake and introduce to the folks here, Eric said "the breads and chocolates, definitely the breads and chocolates."
Kristin Lathrop is the bakery coordinator for Black Velvet Patisserie. She graduated from Northland College with a Bachelor of Science in 2003. Kristin has experience in all aspects of the restaurant business ranging from management, cooking and serving. Her most recent accomplishment has been learning to bake pastries under Eric Greenwell. In addition to baking, Kristin is the "go to" person and can always be counted on to get things done.
Black Velvet Patisserie offers pastries, cakes, cookies and breads daily. We also provide sweets, breads and cakes for your special occasions. Come by and talk with us about your needs and options. We will need at least 48 hours notice to accommodate special orders.
