About

Situated on 60 acres of gently rolling hills stands Betsy’s Barn, a venue located in Portersville, Pennsylvania. This rustic barn has been welcoming couples and their guests for 20 years. Located in the midst of McConnell’s Mill State Park, Betsy’s Barn provides you with a relaxing and rejuvenating setting in which to create memories with your soon-to-be spouse and loved ones.

Facilities and Capacity
Betsy’s Barn can accommodate up to 300 of your friends and family for your wedding, bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal party, or reception on property. For something more intimate, your elopement can be held on property as well. The venue boasts around 7,000 square feet of space for you to personalize and make your own on your special day. Even though the barn is composed of a rustic post and beam structure, it contains modern features like electricity and bathrooms for your comfort and convenience. Accommodations are provided for couples and guests if desired.

Dream Wedding

My husband & I got married at Betsy's Barn on Friday August 13, 2021. Betsy, Jen & the rest of the crew went above & beyond to make sure everything went perfect. They were super helpful during the whole planning process. I never once had to stress or worry about how things were going to be because they were on top of it all so that we could enjoy our wedding. They are very friendly & quick to respond to calls/texts. The food was delicious, too! I can't thank you all enough for all you've done. You've helped make our dream wedding come true & it was absolutely PERFECT.

Beyond Blessed!

Jenn & the staff at Cheeseman Farm were absolutely incredible! They made our day run so smoothly & everything went as planned. We are so blessed that we were able to have our special day at Betsy's Barn (thank you again)! The food was delicious and they were great behind the bar as well! Highly recommend this venue :)

This venue met all my expectations and MORE. It was so perfect for our tastes and personalities. It was rustic and gorgeous. The lovely white paper lanterns looked so dreamy hanging from the rafters of the gorgeous barn. The food, which was catered by the venue, was DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments on the beauty of the venue as well as the food. The gazebo out back was the perfect spot for our ceremony, overlooking the gorgeous fields and tree lines of rural Pennsylvania. It was a dream come true to get married here!

Betsy’s Barn was an amazing venue for our wedding we had in early May. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and made an incredible backdrop for pictures. The decorations and atmosphere were exactly what we wanted and the staff bent over backwards for us to make the day the best day of our lives. The barn is beautiful in itself and we were able to add special touches to keep our theme throughout. They met with us on numerous occasions to go over all the details and answered all of our questions. The food was delicious (we highly recommend the pig roast, it’s phenomenal), the staff was friendly and helpful, and it all made the wedding perfect. We were even able to have our rehearsal dinner there as well, which was extremely convenient for us. They are superb to work with, have excellent communication, lists of vendors if you need one and easy to get a hold of. We received countless compliments on the food and the atmosphere of the barn. Our wedding was perfect and would recommend Betsy’s Barn to anyone!

When my husband first asked me to look at a "barn" to have our wedding at, I thought he was crazy. But, when we first pulled up to Betsy's Barn, I knew this was the ONLY place I would have our wedding! The Barn and the surroundings are beautiful!! After meeting Betsy for the first time, I had total confidence in her wedding planning. She walked us through everything and made it so very easy. All the food is prepared on site and was delicious! They will even roast a whole pig for you! It is a family run business and the effort made by all including her husband, Vic and her daughter, Jen was heart felt. They sat everything up for us including the centerpieces the morning of the wedding which took pressure off of me and the wedding party. They were extremely caring and thoughtful. This is not just a business to them. They genuinely want to make your wedding day the BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE and they did just that for my husband and I!! If you are looking for a unique setting and atmosphere to have your wedding, Betsy's Barn is the place for you!!

We could not have asked for a better venue. The entire Cheeseman family was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I have been told numerous times that our reception at Betsy's Barn was one of the most picturesque, relaxing venues any of our guests has experienced. The catering was fantastic!

This was truly a magical venue. It gives you the opportunity to do a lot of DYI decorations. Staff are very easy to work with. I did feel like there were lots of small additional charges, but worth every penny.

Betsy's Barn at Cheeseman Farms is a romantic and whimsical place to get married. We were married on the first of the summer and Betsy and her daughter Jen made sure everything was perfect. The food was excellent for a buffet, the decorations were perfect and not over the top, and the barn was very romantic. They helped with the set up and made sure the night flowed smoothly. Betsy and Jen were a pleasure to work with and they were always willing to let us stop by and see other weddings so we could get a taste of what our wedding would be like. It was the perfect venue and very reasonably priced for what we received.
