The Lamplighter is a beautiful space with even better people. The family owned business treated us like we were apart of their crew and turned our wedding vision into a reality. They are extremely responsive, and they go above and beyond to make your event special. Andrew was extremely accommodating, very easy to work with, and stepped in to provide tiny special touches to our day. The venue and ceremony space were clean and well maintained. Barry the bartender is phenomenal! The Lamplighter is a wonderful place to have a wedding!

If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further. This was by far the best decision I have made for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all there and it was absolutely seamless. Mike went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was everything we could have dreamt of. His communication and response time is impeccable. His staff was very efficient in serving people and ensuring everyone was happy. Every guest was having a good time and complimenting the venue. The food is incredible from hors d’oeuvres to entrees. If your want the dance floor to be on point, this really isn’t the venue for there. There are a lot of rooms and places for people to migrate to that the dance floor is easily forgotten about. That was not a big deal to me, but just a forewarning. Absolutely do not hesitate to book or have your wedding here. The price is so reasonable as far as weddings go these days.

We had an amazing ceremony and reception at Olive or Twist! John was great to work with. He was professional and friendly and really helpful in making sure our special day was the way we wanted it to be. He was there on the day of our wedding to make sure everything went smoothly (and it did!). The food was great, we got “heavy hors devours” and everyone loved it. All of our guests loved the vibe of the venue, from the dim lighting, the disco ball, the cozy couches, to the long bar with plenty of seating. There was more than enough space for our 60 guests. We also did our ceremony at the venue which worked out perfectly and was nice not to have everyone travel around. As an LGBT couple, the biggest challenge we had was finding somewhere we felt comfortable. This venue was hands down the most LGBT friendly response we got when reaching out to vendors. John sent us a draft of what he thought our wedding day schedule could look like and personalized it to say “grooms” and to incorporate some preferences we shared. This is a small detail, but really made us feel more comfortable. All the other places we reached out to sent us materials that said “bride and groom” and although I’m sure they didn’t mean to, it just made us feel unwelcome (especially when we specified we were not a straight couple when reaching out). Thank you John for making us feel so comfortable and welcome! We highly recommend Olive or Twist! It really was the perfect place to have our wedding.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Threadbare. The team really just understood what we were looking for. We planned our wedding long distance, and were looking for good food, good drinks to gather with our friends and family attending the wedding that came in from everywhere. The communication in planning was amazing, and the night of they made sure that we were all taken care of. It was very small and low-key, but exactly what we wanted.

Celebrations was amazing. I couldn’t of asked for a better place to have my wedding. They were so accommodating and so nice there. The place is also so beautiful and everyone was talking about how amazing everything looked. The food was also delicious and everything was so reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Upstairs at The Coney did a wonderful job with our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. They have a great facility upstairs that offers a banquet side and a bar side with pub seating and sofa seating. They let us in early to decorate and were polite and professional. The value of the service can't be beat!

My daughter got married at Grand Vue park in Marshall County. River City did the catering. The food was the absolutely delicious. The staff from River City exceeded our expectations. They were very professional, well mannered. I would highly recommend them to do your catering. Thank you River City for your outstanding food and service.
