Facilities and Capacity
Cherry Runn Lodge offers various locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Eagles Nest is an extraordinary covered outdoor space that features a panoramic view of the property and can accommodate 375 guests. Perched on high stilts, this area is nestled into the tree canopies and has been the location of many eagle sightings. Here, you can exchange your vows with nature as your backdrop and dance the night away surrounded by open skies. The Lodge offers a historic indoor setting for up to 120 guests. This space offers a charming woodland ambiance that will awe you and your guests. You can also choose to host your ceremony outdoors in the open air with The Barn as a rustic backdrop.

At this venue, you can start your big day by preparing in the getting-ready bridal suite, a relaxing space under draping trees. Marie and the team at Cherry Runn Lodge will ensure that your wedding flows seamlessly from your ceremony to cocktail hour and reception. Staff will preset tables and chairs in your preferred layout. The venue also includes linens, chair covers, and additional decor to bring your vision to life. History
This lodge, originally built in 1923 for the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal Co., served as a campground for the company's executives. In 1989, the property underwent renovations, and a dance floor, bar area, and wraparound porch were added. The land went through various owners until it was sold to Jason Buggey and his family in 2019. Since purchasing Cherry Runn Lodge, Jason and Marie have worked hard to honor the space and create a venue full of joy and character.

Dream Venue
I can't say enough wonderful things about Cherry Run Lodge—it truly exceeded all of our expectations. Nestled in what feels like the middle of a serene forest, the venue offers a breathtaking view of an expansive, open field that creates an enchanting and peaceful atmosphere. The natural beauty surrounding the venue made it feel like we were in a fairytale, with the perfect balance of seclusion and elegance.
The venue itself is decorated so beautifully—classically elegant yet warm and inviting. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the floral arrangements to the subtle touches that added to the overall charm. It felt like a perfect blend of nature and sophistication, and it was exactly what we had imagined for our wedding day.
I have to give special thanks to Marie, our venue host, who made everything run smoothly. She was an absolute star throughout the entire process. Marie’s professionalism and calming presence gave me so much peace of mind. From the moment we arrived, I knew I could trust her to handle every detail. Two years ago Sean and I were invited to a birthday celebration at Cherry Runn Lodge and as soon as we stepped onto the Eagles Nest with all of it’s natural beauty and stunning decor we knew something was very special. When leaving that gathering I stated “ if some man ever marries me it’s going to be here”. ( we’ve been together 26 years). In March of 2025 we were engaged and a short 3 weeks later we had secured Cherry Runn as our venue.
From day one Marie and Jason are fabulous in guiding and suggesting the best possible ways to showcase the property. They are patient and kind during the planning process , utmost professional in contacts with other vendors, preparations and day of celebration team leaders. We truly couldn’t have asked for more. The true natural beauty made my decorating a breeze with a few pops of bridal color and any little items I had forgotten Marie had me covered. All guest and vendors stated how spectacular the venue was and all vendors would recommend Cherry Runn Lodge to their clients. Choosing Cherry Runn was probably the best decision made ( well maybe second best)

Cherry Runn Lodge is the absolute dream venue for an authentic, breathtaking wedding. Perfectly balancing rustic charm with an intimate atmosphere, its natural architecture and stunning scenery provide an effortlessly picturesque backdrop.

Fairytale Wedding!
I wish I could give them venue 100/100 stars. We live out of state and from my very first correspondence with Marie she was wonderful. She let me set up a meeting for one of our friends to go and do a FaceTime tour for us. We knew instantly this was our venue. We booked right away. A few months later we flew in to see it in person. Pictures and FaceTime don’t do it justice. It was so magical. Throughout the entire process Marie and Jason have been so helpful, accommodating, kind, and wonderful. They’ve been extremely responsive if we had any questions and they worked with us to accommodate all of our wedding day dreams. From set up to breakdown and everything in between they were very involved and helpful. Wedding day was more than u could’ve ever dreamed. It really was a magical fairytale. Rain or shine this venue is stunning. It rained in our day and I wasn’t even upset because I knew it would still be an incredible day. Our guests were in awe of the venue. They were also so pleasantly surprised to meet and talk with Marie and Jason and hear their story. If you’re even considering booking this venue for any event, I encourage you to absolutely do it. No matter what type of event you hold here, it will be beyond incredible. I promise. If I could book this day over again, I would absolutely book this venue a thousand times over. It truly was the best day of our lives and more wonderful than we could’ve ever anticipated. We are so grateful to them for everything, to this stunning venue, and we hope to have the opportunity to return one day! Book CRL!

Our wedding at Cherry Run Lodge was truly a dream. Marie and Jason went above and beyond to make our day so special. They thought of every little detail, and because of them, everything flowed so perfectly. I felt zero stress knowing we were in the best hands. Not only were the owners incredible to work with, but the venue itself was absolutely breathtaking. All of our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the lodge was. Our day was beyond perfect, and if you’re trying to decide on a venue, I cannot recommend Cherry Run Lodge enough.

Simply the best venue!
Our perfect venue was found from the moment we drove into the entrance of Cherry Runn Lodge. Meeting Marie and touring the beautiful grounds confirmed the decision, as it was the ideal fit for us! Marie and Jason, the owners of Cherry Runn Lodge, are wonderful. They exceeded expectations during planning and on the wedding day to ensure that every detail was executed as envisioned. Thanks to their efforts, a day-of coordinator wasn't needed because they handled everything a hired coordinator would at a wedding reception. The bridal party enjoyed getting ready at the lodge that morning. The bridal cabin added a special touch to the photos – cozy and cute! We booked the Eagles Nest wasand it was perfect. This outdoor space offers a panoramic view of the property, including frequent eagle sightings. It provided a beautiful backdrop and made the reception extra special. Thank you, Marie and Jason, and all the staff at Cherry Runn Lodge, for making the wedding day the best- we can’t thank you all enough!

Bridal And Baby Shower
I rented the Cherry Run Lodge, located in Homer City, PA. It’s so beautiful! Ample parking, outdoor scenery with a lake, perfect for pictures. Inside has enough room for a small gathering or a large reception, and the newly added outdoor deck looks like a cathedral and can be used for the actual ceremony. The kitchen is very nice and convenient to keep foods cold or heated. Having 2 separate bars was very helpful. Not a lot of waiting in line for drinks. And the fireplace adds even more warmth and beauty. Not much decorating was needed because the owners installed beautiful overhead lighting and provides much of the linens, dishes, etc. But you can also just take your own if you choose. The staff was so willing to help accommodate us with anything we requested and even helped with suggestions and offered to stay on site in case we needed anything during our shower. I’d like to thank the owners, Marie and Jason, you could not have made both my daughter’s showers any more perfect!

Wedding Day
From day one Marie was always there to answer questions up until the time we walked down the aisle. Owners were more than accommodating and stepped in to help even without being asked when needed! Venue is very clean and well taken care of with breathtaking scenery. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding day.
