Hello! My name is Ashley and I am the owner and artist of Beauty for Ashes, based out of Ashburn, Virginia. I have been doing wedding makeup and hair since 2017, and absolutely LOVE it. It is always such an honor for me to be a part of someone's wedding day, especially in the special moments of getting ready. My number one goal is to help my bride's to feel as calm and confident as posisble, all while focusing on their natural beauty. As a full-time clinical social worker, I love merging that expertise with makeup... I want you to feel grounded and feel like yourself as you prepare for the greatest adventure of your life.

Not only is Ashley the sweetest person, she is magical! In both the trial and day of the wedding, she was supportive, kind, hard-working, and made me, my mom, and all my girls feel confident and flawless. Highly recommend using Ashley for her wedding!

Professional, talented, and a pleasure to be around
I can’t say enough positive things about Ashley. She is extremely professional and a true talent. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. She has mastered the art of timeless, formal beauty without overdoing it (which was exactly what I was looking for). And on a personal note, she is just a pleasure to be around. I can’t wait until my next excuse to have my hair or make up done so I can hire Ashley!

Incredibly professional and stunning makeup
Ashley makes you feel comfortable and beautiful throughout the entire day. She is not only an incredibly talented makeup and hair artist that will bring out your natural beauty, but she is also very personable and easy to be around. I was very picky about my wedding day makeup and she never made me feel like I was being a burden, always insisting that we take the time to make it look just how I wanted. She also did a wonderful job with time management, sending a schedule the week of for doing my bridal parties hair and makeup to make sure we were all taken care of.

So so kind AND does outstanding work
Ashley is as good as it gets. Not only is she kind and flexible with your needs and desires, but she is incredibly gifted at her job. She produces outstanding work, tailored to her client’s unique beauty.
When I originally reached out to Ashley, I was going to have her do hair and make up for bridesmaids, myself and my mom. When COVID hit all my plans changed (including the date and venue of our wedding), but Ashley kindly adjusted and ended up just doing hair and makeup for my mom and I, and a last minute addition of an updo for the mother of the groom. We all felt beautiful the entire day, and our photos were all that much better. She’s awesome, y’all, no other way to put it!

Lovely and very Professional
Ashley and her assistant were lovely. Even without a trial, I felt completely comfortable with her on my wedding day. She was a calming presence and made me feel and look beautiful -- just how I had imagined! She also did hair and makeup for some bridesmaids and the MOB. All of them commented on how they enjoyed the experience and felt listened to.
She was flexible in the days leading up to our wedding as we navigated COVID related schedule changes. I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for wedding related beauty services. She charges a fair price and did a fantastic job! I'm such a fan!

Ashley added so much to my daughter’s wedding day
When Ashley arrived the party started! I had every confidence that she would do beautiful makeup but what she added to our ‘getting ready time’ was priceless. She was fun, engaging, professional, and did I mention fun?! She is a treasure

Great quality AND great value!
Ashley is a gem to work with! I hired her and her two assistants to do hair and makeup for me and my two bridesmaids for my COVID church ceremony in September 2020. We looked and felt beautiful! We have the pleasure of having them return for the reception in fall 2021!

Highly recommend Ashley!
I highly recommend booking with Ashley for your wedding! She and her assistant did makeup for 9 of us and did a fantastic job. The makeup was very natural and stayed on all night. She also was very calm and collected and helped us all relax a little more on the morning of. I wish she could do my makeup every day!

BEST HMUA I could have hired
One of my BEST vendors on my wedding day! Ashley made sure I had all info needed before my big day and was a dream to work with on my consultation. She was open to my feedback and remembered what I wanted on the actual wedding day. Her prices are VERY fair for this area and she was flexible with payment timeline! She brought along two attendants to work with her on our wedding day and they were both amazing. Everyone was so happy with their hair and make up and it all showed in our photos! I would 100% hire Ashley again for hair & makeup services in the future.

Beautiful, sweet & stress-free
Ashley is the best! She makes you feel super comfortable and relaxed while getting your hair and/or makeup done. Her products are great and last all day (or night)! She was super flexible and accommodating to our schedule. I would recommend her to anyone looking for beauty services for their special day.
