I’m a DC-based hairstylist and makeup artist. A mixed chick born the year of the dog with a cancer sign and I love animals! I am an expert at consultations. I love to problem solve and offer solutions. I have a lot of experience working in the fashion industry and television, but nowadays, I focus on weddings and special events. The BEST Wedding Choice
I can't say enough wonderful things about Carla Pressley and her team! She was such a joy to work with from the trial to the day of the wedding. Carla and her team were professional, relaxed, and very kind. They made the morning of my wedding such a joy and stress-free. Everyone felt so beautiful! I had two different ceremonies on my wedding day and Carla did a perfect job changing my hair and touching up my makeup between ceremonies and for the reception. Her team is the best!!

The Best Wedding Energy
Carla is not only incredibly talented, but she was a huge part of why the morning of our wedding felt so fun and relaxed.
I went into the trial not totally sure what I wanted, and she really listened, gave me options, and helped me land on something that felt like me but better. By the time I left I felt so confident about the look, which was one less thing to worry about.
On the day itself, Carla set the tone for the whole morning. Our getting ready suite was packed, easily 20 people at one point between bridesmaids, family, hair and makeup, and our photographer, and she just kept everything calm, fun, and on schedule. My bridesmaids and my mom all looked gorgeous and felt taken care of. She was there for touchups after our first look and again after the ceremony, making sure everything held up through everything. We had a small bustling snafu and she just calmly stepped in to keep me cool and distract me with a touchup while my cousins worked. She even sent me some photos she'd taken during the morning that ended up being some of my favorites from the entire wedding, which was such a sweet surprise.
And the staying power! My hair and makeup lasted the whole sweaty night and looked amazing in photos. I will admit I did not wash off my eye makeup that night, and it still looked great through brunch the next day.
I can't recommend Carla highly enough. She's talented, warm, professional, and just the best person to have around on a big day.

I am someone who has no idea what I want, and Carla took that and delivered me everything I've ever wanted. For my wedding, I had Carla contract to do my hair and makeup, hair and makeup for one of my bridesmaids, just makeup for my other two bridesmaids, and the hair and makeup for my mom. And the consensus from everyone was that Carla is a unicorn and is the absolute best. At first, none of us really knew what we wanted to do for bridesmaid makeup, but after just taking a simple look at the theme and everyone's dresses (they were plum), she thought to do a smokier purple makeup. And my goodness, everyone looked BEAUTIFUL.
The vibes were off the chart, chill, fun, relaxing, etc. All the right energy for a very otherwise anxiety-filled day. She's calm, she's punctual, she's knowledgeable. She put up my very quick look change and absolutely DELIVERED. And the look stayed on THE WHOLE DAY. As someone who sweats like no tomorrow and had a summer wedding, that was crucial because the later pictures turned out amazing.
