I picked Absolute Beauty by Wendy to do my makeup on my wedding day, and I am so glad I did! Wendy is kind, professional, and helps everyone feel comfortable while getting their makeup done. I was a little worried trying to find a makeup artist because I typically only wear mascara on a day-to-day basis and I wasn't sure how wedding makeup would look or feel. Wendy worked with me through the whole process of determining a makeup look that made me feel confident and beautiful. After my original makeup trial, I ended up wanting to change a few things, and Wendy recommended a second trial, which went really well. Wendy and her team are receptive to feedback and work with you to come to a look that you love- which I found to be critical as someone who does not wear a ton of makeup on a day-to-day basis. I was confident leading into the wedding day and excited to see everyone get their makeup done. On the actual day, Wendy and her team did a fantastic job- keeping on time, listening to each bridesmaid, and ultimately doing 12 people's makeup. It was a great day, and I definitely recommend Absolute Beauty by Wendy!

As someone who wanted to be reasonable with money and usually sticks to a very natural look, I honestly struggled with whether to hire anyone to do my hair and makeup. But I’m so glad I decided to work with Absolute Beauty by Wendy. I loved the experience from start to finish.

Diana did my hair and makeup, and the final look was exactly what I had hoped for, enhancing my natural features for a stunning bridal style while still feeling like myself. I do my own makeup regularly (a very minimal, no-makeup look), but I never could have achieved what Diana did, and it would have been so much more stressful. Instead, I got to relax and enjoy the morning with my bridesmaids and family.

During the trial, Wendy and Diana let me compare what I’d look like with and without false eyelashes, and encouraged me to go about the rest of my evening to see how everything felt. As someone who rarely wears much makeup, that was incredibly helpful. I ended up choosing the lashes for my big day, and I’m so glad I did!

Wendy and Diana were also wonderfully flexible, fitting me in for a trial during the one week I was in the area before the wedding, and adding an extra service for my mom just two weeks before the big day.

After a bad makeup trail, I was on the hunt to find the right person for wedding day hair and makeup. I found Absolute beauty on The Knot and noticed they had amazing reviews. I contacted them and spoke with Wendy. I Immediately knew she was a professional and knew what she was talking about. I booked a trial for hair and makeup and met Wendy back in April. My trial went so well and Wendy did an amazing job. I ended up booking her for my wedding and so glad I did. My makeup and hair were perfect! I 100% recommend AbsolutebeautybyWendy. When I was searching for someone to do hair and makeup I specifically wanted someone who knew how to style curly hair and the Ouidad method. Surprisingly there are not many people in the DMV that do Ouidad but I came across Wendy's page and saw she was certified so I had to book! The trial went amazing, and she has a full studio at her house where the services were done. On my wedding day I received so many compliments on my hair. My curls withstood an entire day and night in July heat; she really knows how to do wedding services that will look great and last all day. I also usually don't wear a lot of makeup, and she was very willing to work with my comfort level on wanting to stay fairly minimal. My hair looked so amazing on my wedding day, the very next day I made sure to book her again for another service I needed in the fall. I definitely recommend booking with her, especially if you have curly hair! I will be a reoccurring customer.

Dianna was my makeup artist, and she was incredible- she made great suggestions and helped me achieve the natural look I was hoping for. She also brought a calm, thoughtful presence to the morning.
