Experience
Barbara Boyd was raised in an interfaith family, and spent much of her life traveling to many parts of the world where she experienced the knowledge and the traditions of other cultures. She earned her degree in Cultural Anthropology from UCSC and then became an ordained interfaith minister. Barbara has served as a non-denominational officiant since 1998, helping couples tie their lives together in meaningful and memorable ceremonies.

We just got married this past Sunday and wanted to reflect on how special Barbara made our wedding weekend.
Barbara was so organized throughout the whole process of creating our vows and guided us (and our families) through every part of the ceremony. Her priority was creating a ceremony that my husband and I envisioned together.
During the ceremony itself, Barbara brought a calm and warm energy, and set the tone for the ceremony. She was so present and guided us through every part of the ceremony.
Several of our guests (including the in-laws!) commented on the ceremony and how beautiful and smooth it went.

Barbara was a pleasure to work with. Communication was always prompt, she asked all the right questions and cleared up any confusion that we had. Barbara takes her work very seriously, she arrived early and was well prepared. I was a bit worried our elopement would be awkward without guests, but her delivery of the ceremony speech was truly moving, she created a magical atmosphere even with just us there.
