We working with Christina, and boy was she a life saver! We were working with a really tight budget, and she went above and beyond to help us have the reception we dreamed of. She kept track of all of our detailed schedules, special requests, and complicated seating arrangements. On top of taking care of our catering, Christina functioned as a day-of coordinator as well!! She helped keep our reception on schedule and even was there during our ceremony to tell everyone when to walk down the aisle. Seriously, what more could you ask for?!?

Avalon made our reception. The food and dessert was amazing. Milena is the best! I am not the bride that knows what she wants - than goodness for Milena! She was able to provide me with suggestions and ideas for the venue, linens, food options, and steered me away from what could have been some pretty unsightly decisions. The tasting really sold us - we were able to try everything we would be eating at our actual event, prepared and presented the same way it would be at the event. The cupcakes and cake were incredible and I seriously think about ordering them in bulk separately. The staff for the event were very professional. We had passed hors d' oeuvres, wine poured at dinner, and 2 bartenders - all were amazing. Guests told me after how cool the batenders were. Will definitely use Avalon for events in the future.

Christina from Avalon Caterer is the best! She is really sweet and very helpful. Our budget for the wedding was really tight and so Christina suggested some things and ways to help me save money and cut the cost down. The food and services was awesome! I would totally recommend Avalon Caterer. Thank you again for such great food and services.

Words can't express how much I enjoyed working with Milena C. of Avalon Caterers. She was extremely patient, flexible and caring throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I used Avalon as the preferred caterer for our wedding at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Milena and the rest of her staff were excellent in every service that they provided for us. It's very easy to see that she truly enjoys what she does for a living because it shows in her performance and delivery. Definitely one of our favorite wedding vendors. Avalon had a huge role in helping to make our day a success.

We were so thrilled to have Avalon cater our wedding. It was a small 22 person backyard dinner party and everything was so so so perfect. The food was very important to us and Avalon nailed it!! The presentation was immaculate and suited the style of our wedding. They even served everything on copper platters to coordinate with our decor! Small touches like that make so much of a difference. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was. It was a seasonal menu with something for everyone. And the service was fantastic too. Milena helped us from the beginning and was present on the wedding day. She is so sweet and incredibly helpful and thoughtful. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

Carolina and her staff were fantastic. She worked within our budget and the food was amazing. I would recommend her to any bride who needs to keep to a budget but wants to have her wedding be memorable. I have even thought of using Avalon for my husbands birthday party next year! Great value!

We hired Avalon Caterers for our small wedding, with a cocktail style reception at the Hendry House in Arlington, VA. I worked exclusively with Milena and she was very responsive and nothing short of amazing! Avalon/Milena was extremely flexible and helped us plan an amazing menu within our budget. She had great suggestions regarding the menu, bar, layout and all things wedding. Avalon permits you to supply your own beer/wine/liquor which was something that we really appreciated (was a huge savings for us). The food was outstanding and our guests continually commented on the quality and quantity of the food and service. Avalon also did our wedding cake and it was delish and beautiful. We had asked if they would do something a bit different for the cake decor and they were very accommodating. They made a beautiful cake that looked just like the photo I had sent them. I honestly can't say enough about their services and particularly working with Milena. I felt like she was my wedding planner and she put so much time and effort into planning and setting up our big day. She brought our event to life and made our day perfect. I would highly recommend Avalon for any catering needs

A-MA-ZING. Next to the groom, Avalon was the best thing about our wedding.
The Mr. and I worked with Brittany to set-up most of our details, and she was so awesome-- very patient as we flip-flopped on all sorts of details (linens, grooms cake vs. dessert course, etc), and had good suggestions while still letting us control the process. She helped us figure out quantities to buy our own alcohol, and did customized menu requests for the cocktail hour.
We chose Avalon largely because they fit our budget, and I was totally floored with the level of service. The food was incredible, too-- guests are still emailing me to get the recipe for the corn souffle.
I wish I could include a piece of constructive criticism about Avalon, since I think that generally those make reviews more useful. But this is a 100% rave.

Unrelated, but I want to include in every review so that all brides see it: avoid USA Bus Charter like the plague. They came late, had buses breakdown on the side of the road, got lost, screamed at passengers. Altogether a nightmare.

We had a great experience working with Avalon Caterers. Our venue had a list of pre-approved caterers that we had to work with, and Avalon was one of them. Avalon was the only caterer on the list that was willing to work with our budget. We had a beautiful brunch wedding, and we enjoyed working with Brittany Bernstein. She was quick to respond to all of our questions, and was willing to stay after business hours to do our tasting. For a very minimal fee, she was willing to pick up our cupcakes from another bakery and set them up for us as if they were their own product. They handled all of our set-up beautifully, and collected all of our extra stuff (cake knife, place cards, cupcake stand, other non-floral decor) beforehand so we didn't have to worry about it on the day-of). Priceless! Thank you for making our day, Avalon!
