Greetings from this Florida girl living in an Illinois world! If you would have asked about my free time before I headed north to live with my husband (and photo assistant) Aaron, the answer would have been all sun and sand and warm gulf waters. And I still jump at the chance to experience the beach life, but these days in my much cooler habitat, I’ve also taken to books, tea, snowy scapes, and cozy fires (and during those lovely temperate summers that don’t melt your face the second you open the door, I love hiking, kayaking, and gardening). The constant, though, the thing that doesn’t change with location or age (or temperature) is my love for capturing beauty with the magic of photography. It started as a childhood infatuation and has developed into my career path, my craft. And I’ve now discovered that one of my favorite elements of photography is people. To me, photo shoots are both relaxing and challenging, my therapy and my art. It’s the perfect way to make new friends as I study and capture character, working with you to capture authentic moments through comfortable yet engaging interaction. So, if you are looking for a laid-back perfectionist, someone you feel comfortable chatting with, yet know will obsess over the perfect shots and edits, let’s talk over coffee, tea, a fruity drink on the beach, or whatever exotic beverage from your destination of choice (yep, that’s a hard hint: I love to travel).
