Alston Mayger Events is the only planner I would recommend if you're getting married in this area. From the very first meeting with Ashley, her attention to detail and willingness to adapt was apparent. She helped us create a budget and found vendors that fit within it. Ashley was great at responding to emails, setting meetings, and always making us feel heard. The day of our wedding, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing. The team of vendors Ashley put together made the day seamless and anything that went wrong wasn't brought to my attention. My husband and I had a great time with no stress. So many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding they've been to "in a long time". We owe it all to Ashley and her team at Alston Mayger Events.

If Derek and I could give Ashley 6 stars out of 5, we ABSOLUTELY would. She was THE MOST lovely, patient, proactive, engaged, and kind person to both of us throughout the entire wedding process. All of our family and friends echoed similar sentiments. EVERYONE needs Ashley for their wedding. We’re so serious, haha. Derek and I just had to show up and our dream wedding came into fruition. Ashley was the by far the best investment I made during the wedding process. She was two steps ahead of me the whole time, was there as a friend and a full event manager and creative director! Her design was BEAUTIFUL and everything I ever wanted (even when I barely knew what I wanted lol). Starting the days before the wedding she had everything locked and dialed all the way through the morning after. She was absolutely amazingly calm, professional and organized throughout. Cannot recommend Ashley enough.

Ashley is one of the most thoughtful, conscientious, funny and delightful people we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We cannot emphasize enough how seamlessly Ashley & her team brought our vision to life and executed every aspect of our rehearsal dinner and wedding day with perfection and attention to detail. Our meetings were always filled with laughter and excitement, and reassurance in the process when we needed it most. Ashley got to know us on a real level and remembered details about us that were reflected everywhere on the most special day of our lives.

When we hired Ashley we were a little over a year out from our big day and we had no idea where to begin. We felt her compassion and warmth come through our initial zoom meeting and we appreciated her commitment to being an ally and her values that align with our own. Ashley did a stunning job of helping us dive right in to curate and fine-tune what we wanted our day to look like, down to details that we hadn't even scratched the surface of, without ever making us feel overwhelmed.

As our day got closer, we unexpectedly ended up in the process of buying a house and moving while both working full time and finishing our degrees. I look back at that period of time and I honestly can't imagine how we would have navigated that level of stress without Ashley as our rock, working tirelessly behind the scenes to alleviate any pressure on us.

She helped us select 5 star vendors, built relationships with them and communicated every detail to them, and brought it all together during our wedding weekend by orchestrating everything beautifully and seamlessly. Ashley goes above and beyond to prioritize your well being and your ability to enjoy yourself as a couple, scheduling in time to have a bite to eat (it's harder than you think!) and time to spend with one another as a couple to take a breather and reflect on what getting married is all about. As others have noted here, when working with Ashley, your other vendors will continuously tell you just how amazing she is to work with, and if some kind of act-of-god incident happens on your day, you won't even know about it because she's just that damn good! You know you hired the right person when your wedding guests can't stop talking about how smoothly things are running and how jaw-dropping and stunning the space is.

As a type-A bride, I never thought that it was possible to spend our wedding day fully present and in the moment, but thanks to Alston Mayger we were in a state of bliss and relaxation all weekend without ever encountering a moment of stress. It's not often in life that you meet someone that redefines their industry by being so truly excellent at their job, but that's the level of professionalism and thoughtfulness that Ashley provides.

Having Ashley as our wedding planner was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. It allowed us to enjoy our day (that you only get once) and focus on each other. I can't imagine how much stress would have been on us and our parents if Ashley was not there. Ashley is thoughtful, organized, and great at running a flawless wedding. Worth every penny!

I could not express my love and thankfulness for Ashley! Her and her team made our wedding day pure perfection. During the planning process Ashley listened to all of our ideas, what we wanted as well as what we really didn't want and made our dreams come true. In the months leading up to our wedding, she answered all our random questions about logistics, etiquette and run-of-show, and she gave us great recommendations for other vendors. She also gave us some really good advice for our big day that made it extra-special.

Ashley and her team have the professional, calm vibe you want on your wedding day. My wedding dress had a bunch of wrinkles even though we had had it steamed, and Ashley steamed it by hand right before the ceremony. And apparently there was a small electrical fire at the venue during our event, but we didn't find out until the next day because everyone was cool as a cucumber.

We are so happy we hired Ashley. We received so many compliments from all of our guests, particularly about how every little detail was perfect and meaningful. Thanks Ashley!

Ashley was AMAZING! She brought my vision to life, my reception and wedding day turned out better than I could've imagined. Her attention to detail on my table design/reception setup was superb. She was very calm, collected and organized the whole day. I didn't have to stress about a single thing the day of my wedding, because I knew she had it handled.

I will admit that as an A-type personality who is used to project managing and coordinating my own events- I was hesitant to hire a wedding planner and coordinator. Additionally, given that our wedding was an LGBTQ+ wedding with 1/3 of our audience from the PRIDE community, 1/3 from Latin America and 1/3 who are Diversity, Equity and Inclusion professionals, I was hyper sensitive to ensuring that any vendors that would build a relationship with us and be a part of our big day understood the criticality of belonging that we were trying to create. Ashley pleasantly surprised me and surpassed all levels of expectations I had. She was able to navigate, collaborate and put to ease my A-type sensibilities and I was able to fully be in the moment during our Wedding Weekend.

Ashley and her team were invisible when needed, working seamlessly behind the scenes to take care of details I wasn't even thinking about, while also present and jumping in to gently navigate and keep us on track. Her energy and spirit were so well received that it helped to create a connection point between our vendors and guests that felt blended and organic as one. Whether it was hugging my husband tight to help him button up his pants, joining our dance tunnel at the end of the reception or helping to ensure we took moments for ourselves- it felt flawless, seamless and that we had a friend at our side. Exactly how a wedding should feel.

She was extremely thoughtful and detailed in helping to think of guides, best practices and nurturing vendor relationships in preparation for our wedding and our biggest cheerleader post wedding. I am sure there are plenty of polished professionals out there, but, to find it coupled with being an amazing human is harder to find. I highly recommend working with Ashley and Alston Mayger events.

If Alston Mayger Events (Ashley) were a restaurant she would be MICHELIN STAR. I truly dont know where to start with this review, but if you are reading this HIRE HER. NOW. DONT WAIT. I was an unconventional bride who had a clear vision and opinion for my big day, but truly nowhere to start. I didnt "think" I needed alot of help, but quickly learned that even if you only want a small percentage of help, or a TON of help, hiring the right person is CRITICAL! I had alot of fear and doubt about having a wedding, and even more fear and doubt about finding someone to help me. I met Ashley through a PDX virtual wedding show and I set up a meeting with her shortly after. About 5 min. into our call I knew I found not only the right person for the job, but seriously someone I could see myself being friends with or have known for a long time. Ashley was precise, professional, knowledgeable and has established the most trusting, wonderful and genuine relationships with other industry professionals and vendors. Her reputation preceded her as anytime I mentioned who I was working with all the responses were extremely positive. I believe that our vendors (Ashley included) truly went the extra mile for me because of their passion for the work that they do and knowing that Ashley was managing the event—she was instrumental in every aspect of my wedding in the most invaluable way. This is a thankless job in a thankless industry, but there was never a day where Ashley fell behind, missed the mark or failed to deliver. She is results oriented, passionate, honest and dedicated! She gave me the confidence to feel truly excited for my event, the confidence to feel empowered enough to have the wedding I wanted, and the confidence that everything would be perfect…and it was. She is a passionate creative mind who is as friendly and kind as she is brilliant.
