Jess helped set up a beautiful wedding for my best friend. From start to finish, she worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was exactly the way he wanted it. The DJ even said that this was one of the smoothest weddings he has ever done. If you need a good wedding coordinator, Jess is your girl! She had to do a complete venue flip for the wedding to reception within an hour and she did such an amazing job. I couldn't believe how fast she got everything done and how gorgeous it all looked. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be on time and that all scheduled events happened the way they were supposed to. I couldn't recommend True 2 You Events more for wedding planning services.

Jess is such a sweet and kind hearted person but I would never recommend her as a wedding planner. From the start there were problems of contracts being set up at the wrong service level - we wanted the highest tier for both our caterer’s buffet service and our cotton candy vendor, they both were set up as a mid level tier, so I then contacted the vendors to change that myself. Going forward my mom or I tried to deal with all the contacts. I was feeling disappointed in the wedding planning but hoped that day of would be better, yet I was once again feeling let down. Our venue is three levels in total so trying to get me into step into my dress and the groom and groomsmen out for photos was a change, I was told to wait were I was until someone came to get me, that person was my cousin who saw me looked confused and said “why hasn’t anyone come to get you yet?”. I guess Jess said she’d go get me but distracted on the way and left me standing alone in a cold entrance for longer than I needed, this happened again after the ceremony. My husband and I were having some one on one time and Jess said she’d come back and get us for family photos, a little bit latter my BIL came in saying the family has been looking all over for us for family photos. I left the wedding feeling like Jess and let us down, then I found out the biggest mistake of the day, while this wasn’t notable to anyone who didn’t see the event happen it still was a big deal, our wedding cake was dropped when Jess attempted to help move the cake, the buttercream cracked in a few places but luckily our florist and cake decorator came through and covered up the cracks. Then our cake ran out extremely fast, I thought this was weird because we had ordered enough cake for everyone given we weren’t planning on saving our top tier. I don’t remember having a conversation with Jess about this, so I will partially take blame for not being clear but Jess boxed up our top tier for us, although it wasn’t our favorite flavor (actually my least favorite flavor of what was in our cake) and left our guests wishing there was more of the exact cake that Jess had made the decision to box up for us.

I was lucky to be surrounded by a bridal party and guests who helped me out when I felt I was being let down by Jess and that made the day better as a whole for me.

I still think Jess is an amazingly nice person who cares so much for her family, but she also seem scattered brain and leaving you feeling like you need to manage it yourself so that these same mistakes don't get made over and over again. So I would not recommend True2You Events.
