I could go on endlessly about the absolutely incredible experience I had with YPB for my June 1 Castaway Portland wedding, but I am going to try my best to stick with what you need to know. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Katelyn and her assistant Tammy. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator or wedding planner I urge you to do so. I was able to enjoy my day as a bride because I knew that Katelyn and her team had everything covered. If something went wrong, I have no knowledge of it. As a bride, you put in lots of planning and stress you really owe it to yourself to be able to enjoy this memorable experience. Katelyn was a recourse and advocate for me through the whole process. She is knowledgeable about the industry and about weddings in general. You may think that you can save money by doing certain things, but YPB really knows how to help you plan for things you don’t expect which helps you to achieve the wedding you want that sticks to your budget. I spoke with several different planners and coordinators and was disappointed that like many areas in the wedding business, I was being ripped off. This was not the case with YPB. They are personable, professional, kind, honest, humble and above all truly passionate about their work. I am sad to no longer be working with them, but so thankful they helped bring me my happily ever after. I highly recommend YPB. It was the greatest investment in my event and I had an unforgettable wedding thanks to their hard work and help. This should absolutely be your first stop in wedding planning. Best investment we made in our wedding!!!!
This was absolutely the best investment we made in our wedding! YPB was professional, personable, responsive, and truly indispensable to us. We had a small backyard wedding which seemed manageable at first but soon we became overwhelmed with details. As soon as we hired Kim and her team they went to work for us. Our lead coordinator Nicole was the best! Any time I had a question or needed a referral she was on it and advocating for us with every vendor and or service we contracted. When we could not find a baker Kim personally called someone who was "booked" for six weddings on our wedding weekend and suddenly they were available! We didn't have a florist and Nicole referred me to the best florist I could have ever hoped or dreamed we could hire! Because of Nicole we were able to actually enjoy our wedding day and everything was taken care of and went smoothly. I feel they really listened to what our vision was for our wedding day and they made it happen. The day was perfect, the reception venue looked just like I envisioned. Nicole and Tammy were so kind and conscientious during our day and because of their hard work it really was "our day" without any of the worries of details or distractions. I cannot recommend Your Perfect Bridesmaid enough. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We had Ashley as our wedding planner, and Rachel as our back up day-of coordinator. Through the planning process, Ashley was incredibly helpful. She provided us with a variety of vendor ideas and gave us honest opinions regarding those vendors. We would never have found those vendors without her help. She gave us guidance on how to reach out and what questions we should ask those vendors. She also was in contact with our vendors behind the scenes to work out any kinks with them. Ashley was responsive to our emails and was great about answering any of our hundreds of questions. When our wedding day arrived, we were so calm knowing that Ashley was helping us! We had one major vendor issue during the wedding – our shuttle bus didn’t show up, so some of our guests were late and we had to start the wedding a bit late. Ashley was great about making sure my husband and I were calm and I knew she could take care of it. At the end of the night, Ashley and Rachel went above and beyond our expectations. They personally drove some of our guests home since we didn’t have a shuttle bus (and our venue had no cell reception). She even had one of her friends who had a small shuttle take some of our guest’s home. They stayed much later than they were planning on and they still acted so kind and professional to everyone. We've worked with Kim and Melanie many of times over our years in the Wedding Industry. Each and every time we've worked together, they've kept things running smoothly and have done an exceptional job at keeping the communication open and the overall event organized. These two ladies are a dynamic duo and will do anything in their power to make sure your event is a success. (An example: At one particular wedding we DJ'd, the cake company that was hired, dropped off the cake as scheduled. But when it was set up, it was carelessly slanted to one side. While numerous guest walked by whispering and pointing out that the cake was slanted or uneven, Melanie from YPB came over to the cake moments before the ceremony was to start and fixed the cake so it looked absolutely perfect for photographs, etc. ) With attention to detail and swift work like that, we highly recommend Your Perfect Bridesmaid as your wedding planner and day of coordinator.
what can i say about Your Perfect Bridesmaid? i probably have a limit to how much i can write in my endorsements here on wedding wire :) so i'll summarize everything i have to say this way: my bride was so so so happy with the smoothness and flawlessness and organization of her wedding, all thanks to YPB! in the absence of a coordinator, we as wedding photographers always end up being the guides for the scheduling of the day. while we love to help out and to make sure that the bride is stress-free, there is nothing quite like having a go-to, organized, dedicated person making sure that everything the bride has dreamed of, is done. thank you so much for making my life and my couple's life a breeze on her wedding day! we can't wait to work with you again and highly recommend you to future brides! ~Alice
