Alla Breve Flute & Guitar Duo is a ceremony music business based in Concord, Massachusetts. Husband and wife team Steven and Kristine Kirby have experience performing at hundreds of special events and weddings. Depending on where you choose to exchange your vows, Steven and Kristine Kirby can modify their style and music. For example, what they would perform for a club ceremony would be much different than what they would perform for a cathedral ceremony. This versatility allows them to provide high-quality live music in a variety of settings.
As their name suggests, Steven and Kristine Kirby do specialize in flute and guitar. However, they are more than happy to include more musicians if you would like. Couples can request anything from a full jazz quartet to a pop band. They have a wide variety of genre options, including acoustic, classic rock, folk, classical, jazz, swing, and more. However, if you have something specific in mind, they can perform your special request as well. Your music will be flowing from their state-of-the-art sound system. Steven and Kristine can perform during the following parts of your wedding:

This amazing duo just played at my Daughters wedding on July 31, 2020. I am so happy we choose them for the ceremony/cocktail hour music. Their sound is soft and beautiful. They showed up on time and were dressed very professional. We are so happy with all of the vendors we hired, and this amazing husband and wife team is no different. Hire them. You won’t be disappointed!Sent on 08/06/2020

Wonderful Sound/Easy to work with
Alla breve flute & guitar duo sound absolutely stunning. The music is beautiful, we had them play at our ceremony in a church setting. We also had them play for our cocktail hour, my now wife who is Brazilian, wanted them to play classical Bossa Nova, and they even were able to have someone sing in Portuguese which was very unique and interesting. They sounded great and I highly recommend for any couple. Thank you!Sent on 06/27/2021

We truly enjoy working with Alla Breva and recommend them highly. They are consummate professionals, always on-time, gracious, accommodating, and play beautifully! We just LOVE them!
Hearing Kristine and Steve play together is a wonderful experience. That they are husband and wife is obvious when you notice they are so in tune with each other, always in sync and relaxed with a smile whether they are playing classical or a popular rock song translated to flute and guitar. I've had the pleasure of hearing and working with them at several wedding shows and a mock wedding. In every instance they arrive on time or ahead of schedule dressed elegantly and ready to perform their best whatever the location or situation is. I highly recommend Alla Breve!
I have had the distinct privilege of having officiated at several weddings at which Kristine and Steve provided musical entertainment. Most recently, they played several selections between the various parts of the ceremony which was so beautiful and added such a level of warmth to the overall ceremony. I might add, not once did they 'chime' in too soon and cut into any of the reading of the ceremony itself. Kristine and Steve are true professionals in every sense. Respectfully and sincerely written, Mike
