The right musical setting can often be the finishing touch to a truly special occasion. Boston based MUZA ensemble is pleased to offer an elegant musical accompaniment for your event.
The group's core is a flute and cello duet, providing a unique musical balance of string and wind textures. We specialize in classical and acoustic repertoire, with touches of folk, pop, jazz, and world music.
We are happy to personalize the playlist for your event and special musical requests are always welcome.
MUZA ensemble is available in expanded form -- a trio (flute, violin, cello), quartet and other formations, according to your preferences. Other instruments such as violin, guitar, viola, clarinet, and piano, can be added for your event's needs. In addition, our ensemble members are available for solo flute or solo cello engagements.

About Muza musicians:
Yulia Musayelyan is a flutist and composer, active in the classical
and world jazz music scenes. A champion of new music, she has worked
as a soloist under maestro Pierre Boulez, and premiered her own works
at Symphony Space in New York City. She holds degrees from Manhattan
School of Music and New York University. In addition to performing
regularly with Manhattan Camerata, Marta Gomez, Fernando Huergo
Quintet and Muza Duo, she leads her own jazz quartet, releasing her
debut album as leader in 2009. Yulia has recorded over 30 albums as
sideman and toured the US, UK, Europe, North and South America with
various musical projects.

Cellist Zoya Shereshkova was born in Russia, where she studied at the
State Academic Music College and the Maimonides Classical State
Academy. She is a laureate of the 3rd Youth Cellists competition in
1999 in Moscow, Russia, and the 2005 Cambridge International Strings
Competition. Ms.Shereshkova has performed with orchestra at festivals
in Jonzac (France), Balchik (Bulgaria), and Usedom (Germany), as well
as the Moscow group "Bach Consort" and the Maimonides State Academy
Quintet. She has taught at the Dunayevsky Children's Musical School in
Moscow, Russia. Currently, Zoya plays with the Freisinger Chamber
Orchestra, Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra and Muza Duo. In addition
to performing, Ms.Shereshkova teaches private cello lessons in her
musical studio in Lexington, MA "Cello Brookline".
