This review is LONG overdue as Necoya Tyson and her team were essential to our AMAZING wedding day this past Labor Day weekend! I am a busy full time nurse anesthesia student and would have never been able to pull off a wedding (any wedding at that) let alone the best day ever without Necoya. She was the first wedding planner we met and we compared every person we spoke with after to her. She set the bar and was the obvious choice for us! Necoya came with us to tour venues (and actually is the one who found our venue, which we LOVED), taste and recommend food choices, and met with us any time we needed to have a planning session or just dinner and drinks to take a break from wedding planning. She even came to our apartment to have a skype meeting with my family and picked up and dropped off our day of decor/favors/hotel bags. She streamlined the entire process for us and helped us navigate what has become a VERY complex industry. We literally had no idea how crazy the wedding industry is until we started planning and were thankful we had her help every step of the way! I never thought I would need to hire a wedding planner, but with my school situation she was essential and I am so glad that was the case because even if I wasn't in school and had all the time in the world, I STILL would have needed her! Get a wedding planner! Do not do this alone (or with family/friends), you NEED an expert! Not only did she think of things we never would have ever considered needing to think about, but she also came with fantastic vendor recommendations and even got us discounts on most of our vendors just from knowing them. She ended up saving us money! If there is one aspect of wedding planning you do not need to skimp on, it is hiring a talented, resourceful professional like Necoya to make your life easier and your event flawless. We LOVE HER and would be happy to recommend her to everyone we know!

All About You Event Management was AMAZING! A few months before the wedding, my then fiance and I attended a workshop held by AAY Events CEO Necoya Tyson, Mornings are For Mimosas about wedding trends, budgets, and a chance to hear about other wedding woes and joys other couples were going through. She also had wedding vendors there that weee showcasing their specialities: photographer, pastry chef, photo booth photographer and cupcakes. We realized at the end of that event that we should hire Necoya as our Day of Coordinator for our big day (had I met Necoya earlier, I would've hired her as my Wedding Planner instead of doing it myself). After hiring Necoya, she was on it! She reviewed our contracts, made vendor referrals, did a walkthrough of our venue and dealt directly with our venue contacts. What I really appreciated about her was that she actually took the time to get to know my fiance and I and hear our love story, wedding day desires and must haves. We both truly appreciated this level of detail and care. Honestly, hiring Necoya was the best decision we made for our big day - her and her assistant Bella truly made the logistics and coordination stress free! They set up our reception with all of my DIY centerpieces and table names, helped the groomsmen with their boutinners, sent a goodie basket filled with all of my favorite snacks to the bridal suite while we were getting ready, made sure I wanted for nothing, and really kept everyone and everything in check. With them on top of it, my family and friends were able to enjoy the wedding and not have to worry about setup, ceremony timing and breakdown. And allowed me to focus on marrying my best friend and not about the details. And most importantly ladies, Necoya not only helped me with my bustle, but she helped me with my bio break in my huge wedding dress - I am forever grateful. Necoya was seriously a lifesaver during my wedding! I did not worry about anything the day of the wedding because she took care of everything. I did not feel very stressed during my wedding and was able to embrace the night with my new husband. Necoya was worth every penny, and I would highly recommend her!

Necoya made my big day run seamlessly! From building a relationship with the DJ beforehand so they were on the same page, to making sure that my new husband and I had a bottle of champagne at the end of the night to take back to the hotel. She thinks of every possible detail and anticipates and avoids issues before they even arise.

Her personal touch, patience and genuine attention to your requests will make dreams and ideas a reality. My daughter and I met her during the fall months of 2014. I worked with my daughter and soon to be son-in-law to plan their wedding. This sweet couple had many DIY features and a host of creative ideas. They are both artists and wanted to share a gallery of their work, coupled with an art theme to their wedding. The wedding was held at Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Va. and the ceremony was outside at the gazebo. There were many moving parts and details that seemed like a lot, but Necoya met us with many reassurances through the process. She did an amazing job and it is unfortunate that there are only 5 stars for these feedback categories. If you want to have a successful event, start here and you will enjoy your special event. She takes care of you and she listens.
The wedding day went extremely well, she spent the time to keep all promised details in place. She arranged the gallery as the bride and groom wanted and she improvised with them in mind when direction was not provided. She did a superb job and our entire family and friends commented on how well planned the wedding was and how enjoyable the celebration was for all.

Don't think about doing this yourself and assume you can enjoy your special occasion. Even the most organized and energetic person can't do this and be present at your special event. This is the company to work with and Necoya will be the best partnering decision you can make.

First let me say that hiring Necoya as our day of coordinator was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding. Not only was Necoya really professional and flexible with us, but I could speak with her frankly about my anxieties and loose ends and she didn't make me feel judged or unprepared at all. Even though she was a "day of" coordinator she was an integral part of the process for the month or so before the wedding - Touching base with all of our vendors and making sure everyone was on the timeline and knew their places/responsibilities well ahead of time. She is friendly, warm, professional, fun and most importantly she really cares about making sure your day is picture perfect. We couldn't have done it without her. Thanks Necoya!

Necoya was amazing! She was on point with everything. Not only did she take care of last minute details for us. She also found us an awesome DJ, just seven days before our wedding. What ever stress I had leading up to the wedding Necoya, did an excellent job removing all of it. I couldn't have imagined pulling this wedding off without her, and her assistant. I have already recommended Necoya, to other brides. You wont be disappointed with her services. She not only did her job exceptionally well, she did it with a caring and understanding hand.

If I had not hired Necoya to coordinate my wedding, it would not have turned out anywhere near as perfect as it had. Plain and Simple. Necoya was the most important piece of the puzzle that made up the biggest day of my life. My florist referred her to me and when I reached out to her initially by email she responded within minutes! She went above and beyond for me. When I had a hiccup with my DJ, she even went so far as to draw up a whole new contract from scratch. She and her team cover everything from making sure your vendors know what they're doing, to making sure your wedding party is standing right where they need to be at all times of the day and even printing out the names on place cards last minute when you mess up on your original idea. Necoya saves the day. I cannot express my gratitude enough and I cannot express in words how hiring Necoya for your event planning will be the smartest thing you will do. With her around, you dont need to worry about a single thing.
