Working with Sarah is truly like working with a friend who has nothing but your best interest at heart. Sarah gave us early design support and month-of coordination for our May wedding at The Asbury Hotel. She knew the ins and outs of the venue and the industry. Her expertise helped us find the best florist and rental company to fill the space beautifully and within our budget.

In the final weeks before the big day, Sarah coordinated our final meetings and handled vendor communication with efficiency and kindness and without any pressure. She left no stone unturned and made sure every idea of ours was considered and brought to life. As a producer myself - and a bit of a perfectionist - details and timelines are so important to me and Sarah delivered and then some. She created the timeline for our day and gave a cheat sheet to our wedding party so they knew exactly where they needed to be and when. The day ran perfectly - and I mean perfectly - thanks to Sarah.

We trusted Sarah to execute our day, and that trust was earned every time she delivered on a question, a text, or a moment of needing reassurance. I told Sarah at the end of the wedding “I feel like I’m saying goodbye to a friend” - and that’s just a testament to how great she is. We highly, highly recommend bringing Sarah on to bring your big day to life.

Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions my husband and I made while planning our wedding for over 14 months. I was a bride who had a vision of what I wanted on my day so having Sarah at the helm of our "team" helping us curate vendors and an overall vibe that stayed in budget and helped keep my vision at the forefront of what was wanted was truly invaluable.

Sarah is not only creative, resourceful, experienced, and efficient but most importantly she is excessively KIND and empathetic. She is so well-respected in the wedding industry and I could not rave enough about how well she communicated with my husband and I, but also our parents, our venue, and each and every one of our vendors.

Our wedding was definitely "maximalist" but Sarah was able to reign me in when appropriate to make sure the design of the day didn't go completely off the rails and everything remained cohesive, classy, and romantic. With that being said, she also encouraged my husband and I to lean into the less traditional parts of our wedding design and really championed our quirky, modern, eclectic vision.

We are genuinely sad not to be communicating with Sarah on a daily basis anymore so if you are considering bringing on a planner, I can't wholeheartedly recommend Sarah and A Lovely Universe enough!!

Sarah and Hayley are the BEST! They helped bring our vision to life for our big day. Our expectations were beyond met, and so much of that has to do with the ALU team. The entire wedding planning process and wedding day was so much less stressful because we had Sarah and Hayley on our side. We cannot recommend them enough!

Sarah was positively fantastic to work with. I am not super big into stereotypical "bride" merchandise and when I reached out to Sarah about creating boxes for my 9 bridesmaids, she understood my preferences and aesthetic immediately (and responded quickly!). She had a multitude of super cute options and the hardest part of the process was figuring out how to narrow it down to a few pieces! I loved that she offered products made by small businesses that were affordable and nontoxic, and that I could send the girls a personalized note in the beautiful boxes. It was all so sentimental and fit my personality perfectly. And my bridesmaids loved them and were especially raving about the candles!

I couldn't recommend working with Sarah enough. She was so professional, extremely timely with her communications, she translated my preferences superbly, and she worked within my budget (which is hard when you have a big crew!). And even beyond that, when one of my bridesmaids' boxes wasn't delivering because of a mailbox issue, she solved it with the local USPS office, and it was all the way in California! I truly couldn't believe how above and beyond she went with this, and it was truly a pleasure to work with her. Whether it's for a custom project or an event, work with Sarah! She has an incredible track record and is a delight to work with!!

I have been a long time ALU customer from back when the company was just a small store in Brooklyn! I always loved Sarah’s taste and innate sense of style. ALU makes amazing gift boxes that I’ve used a million times for a quick personalized gift. When it came to planning my baby shower in the middle of covid last summer, I contacted Sarah after not having a clue what to do. She helped to organize a great little outdoor shower that was perfect and so special! I highly recommend her for any event. She’s organized, responsive, and very creative. Would use her again in a heartbeat!
