Rebecca Is Amazing!

Rebecca with A Grand Occasion provided floral and decorations for our wedding on July 31st 2020. In the midst of a global pandemic , we could not be more thankful for having someone like Rebecca on our team! She was the most understanding and helpful person when we needed to postpone our original wedding date of 5/22 & worked with us on cutting cost and rearranging our entire layout to accommodate our new, decreased guest count due to COVID-19. When we ran into a bump in the road with the venue not having the exact tables we needed , Rebecca immediately got on the phone with all of her contacts and found us a vendor willing to rent us out tables at such last minute. She spent countless hours planning, preparing and talking with us, making sure she understood the exact vision we saw.
Rebecca arrived at the venue early in the morning on wedding day and began setting up everything as we had discussed during our meetings. I was so concerned about getting everything to look the way my wife wanted set up to her liking, but I left to get ready comfortably, knowing and confident, that Rebecca was going to provide the vision that we both hoped to see for our event. Sure enough, as my wife and I entered the venue for our grand entrance , we looked down from the balcony to see the most perfect and beautiful set up we could ask for and more! All the centerpieces, deportations, flowers and bouquets made the event such a beautiful, elegant and amazing site to look at! The vision My wife and I had EXACTLY as we had discussed. It truly felt like a dream! We have received so many compliments from loved ones how amazing every inch of our venue looked!
As we navigated through our wedding day, we couldn’t help but notice everything Rebecca was doing for us. Running back and forth repurposing our outdoor ceremony flowers to inside our venue. Coordinating with our venue staff to get everything running smoothly and efficiently. Planning and preparing all of the things my wife and I never thought of going into our big day. Rebecca was all over it and we could not be more thankful for having someone like her to guide us through this journey in having a wedding during a global pandemic. There is no better florist , no better planner and no better person that could have done the job that Rebecca did for us throughout this entire journey. Thank you for everything!!

Rebecca made my dreams come true!!

Flowers were the very last thing we had to book. We talked to a couple of floral companies but when my mom and I finally got to talking with Rebecca, we knew. She took my vision and ran with it! AND WOW! I was blown away by how beautiful it all turned out. She completely made my dreams come true - it was better than I could have even imagined. Hire her RIGHT NOW!

Rebecca K Pierro is not kidding!!! Her people and herself are absolutely OUT OF THE WORLD!!! If you are looking for professionalism with uniqueness and - most of all - personalization, they are the most perfect choice for you! There is NOTHING they can't do!!! All our crazy and last minute requests were met and even more!! They make it so easy and pleasant to do business with them!!! They were able to make our dream come true before our eyes in our wedding day! If you chose them for your special event, you will NEVER regret it!!!

Not so grand

Had multiple miscommunications despite incredibly in-depth Pinterest board inspiration (with drawings of what we wanted) and multiple meetings. Can't think outside the box and has a very "stuck" mindset when it comes to style. Out of all my vendors AGO was the most disappointing when it came to the floral aspect of the wedding. I can't look at wedding photos without feeling deeply upset that it looks like I holding a bouquet of weeds. I feel like I received a wish version of my bridal portrait bouquet. I honestly thought I could get past it but the more I look at them the more upset it makes me. So many photos ruined because she decided to go rogue and not show us what she was thinking (on multiple aspects, not just floral). No preview photo like she did for us when she did the bouquet for portraits. When it came to day of coordinating and general planning it's almost like she was getting us mixed up with other couples as we had to redraft the itenerary nearly 5 times because the inclusion of things we said we didn't want (multiples time and in-depth as to why). Her excuse for insisting on including things like dancing was that my venue was religious and therefore exempt from standard Covid regulations. Despite the fact that I'd been very stern on my preferences on dancing and protecting my guests. She steers brides away from what they want and pushes what she thinks will be best, which would be okay if she had a decent sense of style. She kept INSISTING on satin and when I decided I couldn't deal with it and wanted flat/matte linens it became a big ordeal. She added satin to all the Bridesmaid's bouquets instead of chiffon I requested (and supplied). My mother and I did all the legwork when it came to chasing down missing RSVPs, coordinating with vendors and suppliers and design of the wedding. Despite the fact that Rebecca stated in the initial consultation that those were her duties. There were so many missing things that were previously addressed in our in person and FaceTime meetings. For instance, we were missing florals for our furry friends which we were definitely charged for. I am deeply saddened that at some point she just stopped communicating and listening. When we added traditional cultural aspects to our wedding she wasn't listening to what we were saying or really willing to learn about why things were so important to our cultures. She made so many overgeneralizations about my culture that it left me so frustrated. She just kept lumping my culture in with her view of all Asian cultures. We supplied nearly all decorations with very specific instructions and I designed and supplied my own arch for the wedding. I am beyond frustrated that AGO will be credited for that. I am so sad that my mom spent so much money with what she thought would be helpful and take some stress of my plate. I felt more stressed every time I spoke with Rebecca than I think I would have if I just coordinated entirely by myself and had a different florist. I will never hire another vendor or service for any event in my life without first looking at their portfolio and multiple reviews. I definitely learned my lesson. Unfortunately I have to remember that every time I look at my wedding photos.
