U-Shaped table vs round tables etc

FutureMrsB (Aussie Bride!), on April 20, 2012 at 7:25 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

Hi everyone,

What sort of tables are you having at your wedding ? And why did you choose that?

My venue supplies round tables that fit 10 people but I saw this picture of the U-Shaped table and I really love it! I spoke to the venue and they can fit it in with our guest list (at this stage 64 including us, which has come down from the original 110!) but I will have to hire trestle tables at about $13 ea, so probably looking at $90-115, which I am fine with.

Anyone care to share their table set-ups and why they chose it?

This is one of those things that has made me realise wedding planning turns you insane. Never before in my life would I think I would be excited about table set-ups!!!

Ours is going to be mayhem I think. We've got four long tables one for wedding party and one for a kids activity table and then several round tables surrounding the dance floor FH is very against doing a seatting chart and just letting everyone have at. I'm very pro-seating after really thinking about it so we'll see what happens

Ours are rectangular with 4 people on each side for a total of 8 people per table. This is the only option from our venue.

The first pic is of our reception area with round tables, and the second is with two long rectangle tables. I like the look of the rectangle so much better, but obviously I'll add a head table to join up the two tables to make a U Smiley smile

We are having a single long table because we really want a family feel and are having a very intimate (read small) wedding. lol
