Our Wedding Experience

Best friends for 15 years lost for 8 of the last of those years. We found each other again. It was like no time had passed. We finally decided to date. After 2 weeks we knew we were meant to be. We started planning our wedding. Three weeks before the date, he was admitted into the hospital. He was released into the hospital but only to a rehab center just one week before the date. Frantic what do we do. I contacted the activities director, they were very excited and offered one of their lounges. They jumped on it and took care of all the decorations, set up and refreshments. While it was scaled down we still had all our family and friends at our side. The room was decorated more beautifully than we had planned. We were married on our planned date with everything and more than we wanted. Although, he was in a wheelchair through the ceremony. At the end he surprised me and stood and walked for the first time in over a month! It was the most memorable and perfect day!

I'm sorry to hear that you two have gone through so much. Good to hear you still was able to have a nice wedding with family and friends. Oh and he stood and walked again for the first time. That's wonderful! Congrats to the both of you.

OMG, that is such a touching story. I would have cried when I saw him walk, I'm getting teary-eyed myself writing this. I loved that, that is wonderful story, sniff, sniff.

It's nice to hear that true love really does exist's in today's crazy world & lost loves are able to find each other and decide to make a lifetime of it.. I am a 39 year old wedding DJ & I am always the DJ & never the groom. still waiting for my true love to appear before my eyes. Happy to hear things went of so nice for you guys.
