Alice in Wonderland Theme
I was thinking of what theme to do and Alice in Wonderland came to my mind. I think that I could be a fun theme but I'm not exactly sure what to do (decorations, invites, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions?

well, colors: light blue white and accents of pink and black.
each table could be a different aspect of her adventure like the cards/queen of hearts, the tea party, the chesiar (sp?) cat, the mad hatter, the seal and the .. was it a clam?, the tree. I would use roses and pansies. Maybe you could have candy's shaped like mushrooms in two different colors for the ones that made her grow and shrink. You could have a LOT of fun with this.

Libellule that is exactly what I was thinking. I want to kind of tie all my partys together with the same thing. A Mad Hatter tea party would be great for my shower.

I think for the table decor the easiest overall theme would be the tea party - hit up garage sales and find as many mismatched mugs, tea cups, sugar bowls, ect. and just group them up. Your flowers could tie it all together - get the same kind in the same colors (or your colors, whatever) and stick bunches in random containers. You could go to a hookah bar for your bachelorette party if that's an option (they usually have great food, but you have to put up with the smoke and whatnot). Your buffet could all have names from the book - like canteloupe slices called "Cheshire Cat Grins" or "The Red Queen's Cake" for red velvet cake. This theme has endless possibilities!

Ooh and for favors you can do cookies that say "Eat me" and small bottles of water that you can take the label off of that say "Drink me." Actually, you could do that for all the drinks. Okay, I'm officially jealous of your theme.

you could also use decks of playing cards as party favors! or even better, pull out the hearts and use those as place cards for people! you and your FH could be the King and Queen of Hearts! ;)

You must serve tarts at at least one of the wedding functions. I am a tea junkie and can help you find tea related items.

I love theme weddings! You could label the tables the different characters in the book. Or have center pieces with a glass bowl filled with things like cards, a stopwatch, red roses, white roses, tea items and 'eat me' 'drink me' items.

to play off a PP, have "eat me" cookies and wine class tags that say "drink me" like this

See if you can find a garden location that has a hedge maze you can decorate with big cardboard card decks.

Oh, and the roses from the queens garden, you could even have a fake bucket of red paint next to some of the white ones to play our the "painting the roses red" scene

Can you tell I watched this movie a lot as a kid. LOL
Maybe you should re-watch it and see what jumps out at you as re-creatable.

and if you wanted to you could add some mirrors for a bit of Alice through the looking glass aspect if you want too.

ok, i lied.
you should have caterpillars on on your center pieces or in random locations so he pops up on everyone just like the one in the movie did.
