They hooked us up with an amazing wedding planner, handled all things related to the catering, and had a great staff working on the day. It was our dream wedding & our guests were so impressed.

La Venta Inn is a truly special place. The historic charm, ocean views, and Spanish-style architecture made it feel romantic without trying too hard. As the day went on and the sun started to set, the venue somehow just kept getting better. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was and how smoothly everything flowed from one part of the night to the next.

Made by Meg was incredible. The food was beautiful, yes, but more importantly it was actually delicious. We’re still hearing from guests about how good the meal was, which isn’t something you always hear after a wedding. The service felt professional but warm, and everything ran seamlessly without us ever having to think about what was happening behind the scenes.

Kat from MadeByMeg was phenomenal—hands-down my favorite vendor. She made wedding planning effortless and fun, navigating the chaos of venue and catering options with ease. Kat was incredibly responsive and always went above and beyond. Working with La Venta’s staff, especially Cameron and Savannah, was seamless. The venue is stunning, intimate, and perfect. On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly—I was amazed. Guests were so impressed they started taking photos in the parking lot!

Married here in 2006, when the gazebo was still up. It was definitely my dream wedding and they did not disappoint. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The food was excellent - we had sea-bass and it melted in your mouth, that’s how good it was! Our guests talked about our wedding in yesterday to come and the view… wow! It was a very surreal experience and it was worth every penny!

La Venta was a wonderful venue for our October wedding. They handled so many of the complicated parts of our event, the price was very reasonable, the food was delicious, and of course the venue itself was stunning. La Venta even helped us find our amazing planner, Helen Vonghack (@eighteenplacecards), and our whole event went off without a hitch.

We got married at La Venta Inn in September 2024 and it was truly everything we could have asked for. The centerpiece here, and a large part of why we chose this venue, is the spectacular view overlooking the ocean which made for such beautiful pictures. Besides the natural beauty of the area, the building itself is a historic villa which felt cozy and intimate and yet comfortably accommodated our guest count of 100. Savannah was our contact person and was very responsive to emails, including some last minute seating changes we had in the weeks leading up to the wedding

La Venta works exclusively with Made by Meg for catering - Kat was our contact person and was fantastic to work with. Note that they do not allow outside food vendors, but they were able to accommodate some of our special requests such as requests to source a specific brand of ice cream so that we could make our wedding unique to us. We got so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was.

The other exclusive vendor that they are contracted with is Vox DJs. This is the only vendor that we had a less than stellar experience with. They performed their duties fine on the day of the wedding, with the exception of forgetting to set up the dance lights we had paid for, but the communication and planning leading up the wedding did not go as smoothly as I hoped, and I wish that we had the flexibility to go with a DJ company of our own choosing. However I understand the restrictions given that La Venta is a historic site.

Overall, our wedding at La Venta was memorable, beautiful, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with spectacular ceremony views. With a venue like this, you really only need a good florist (we used Flowernoon Shop) and a talented photographer (June Choi Photography) to bring out the natural beauty of the venue - you really don't need a lot of other rentals, draping, etc. We are so happy we had our wedding here!

we came to tour La Venta as a possible venue. We were so in love, however, our guest count couldn't make it at this spot, or we would have chosen it so fast! looking back, I wish we cut our guest list in order to use this venue. The location is so beautiful and private. A dream!

The La Venta wedding codrinator went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly, and we can honestly say that the wedding turned out even better than expected. Our guests keep telling us that the food at La Venta was the best wedding food that they ever had, and that the views were some of the most beautiful that they have ever seen. We highly recommend La Venta for weddings/events, the entire package for what the cost was is truly an amazing deal (about $20k less than a hotel wedding, plus at La Venta you have the entire place to yourselves). It really makes the whole wedding process easier given that La Venta provides all the tables, linens, cutlery, and food and cake, and even assigns you a wedding coordinator so it is not necessary to hire an outside wedding planner. They also give a lot of flexibility in the decorations you can bring in, but honestly you barely need any given how stunning the ocean and LA skyline views are. As an added bonus, we had our ceremony at the Neighborhood Church, which is only 5 mins away, and is also one of the most stunning seaside churches I have ever seen.

We could not have asked for a more magical venue. Our wedding celebration will go down in history as a Fairytale ending. The La Venta Inn was not only beautiful but the entire staff were incredible to work with; especially since we live out of state. They coordinated with our parents and together created one of the best days of our lives. We highly recommend the La Venta Inn for any event - especially your wedding.
