We worked with Angela and the Made by Meg Team for our wedding and it was an absolutely awesome experience. All of our guests (including us) LOVED their food! From the appetizers to the main course, everyone was raving about how high quality their food tastes and how presentable they looked. Their servers/bartenders were also very professional and accommodating to everyone. The overall planning process was also very seamless. They had a good selection of food and also allowed for some customizations. It was an absolute privilege to work with them and we are eternally grateful for their services. They have our recommendation.

We absolutely loved having Made by Meg as our caterer for our wedding. When we were first choosing a caterer, I spoke with a few, and instantly loved Angela. She told me the story of Made by Meg and their emphasis on food quality and presentation, and I knew they were perfect for us. From there, Angela was so helpful. She spent so much time with me going through each menu item and picking our menu. We eventually had our tasting, which was such a fun afternoon, and Angela was so attentive to our thoughts on everything from presentation, to the type of plating we liked, to any feedback on the food itself. She told us she wanted us to feel like we were chefs creating our own menu, and that we could change any of the food options as we wanted. For example, we had one of the passed appetizers and thought it was a little plain, and Angela instantly came up with multiple sauces and ingredient changes we could do to improve it. On the wedding day, the food was incredible, and we heard compliments from so many guests. The food itself and the presentation was absolutely perfect. On top of that, the staff was incredible. They were so attentive and made sure every single guest was happy at all times. We could not have asked for a better experience, and highly recommend Made by Meg to anyone!

Our property gave us a choice of five caterers, of which we inquired with each one. I was first impressed with Meg and her teams' personal approach to our intimate event. They asked lots of questions, customized a menu that accommodated our guests' needs and our budget. We were never made to feel that our event was anything but important and top priority. It was clear after their first email that we were in the best hands possible with MBM.

The food was delicious, and if it had stopped there that would have been enough, but Meg's team is SO much more- and this is why I am taking the time to write this review.

THE SERVICE. The table was set perfectly, not a fork was crooked, a glass out of place or a plate not centered. Everything was measured to PERFECTION. We brought some special things for the barback, and didn't give too much instruction to how they were placed, the team styled THE HECK out of it. It made our Costco/TJs simple beer/wine/alcohol selection look glamorous and elegant, and our specialty glassware and barware was presented in a way that was even better that I could have done or expected.

Their team insured all our specialty rentals were taken care of, counted and sorted perfectly. The property had told us there were plenty of lights in their scullery area, but onsite that night I thought it was awfully dark, but Meg and her team NEVER COMPLAINED they handled everything perfectly, worked their tails off and even packed up the remaining food for our guests to take with them.

We had so many compliments on the food selection and taste. It made us feel so proud to have served Meg's food but I truly feel that it was their over the top service level and kindness before, during and after the event that made it that much better.

I couldn't recommend them more. They are worth every penny.

It's obvious that Meg Hall takes care of her clients! Everything from our tasting (which she stepped in for when an employee was not available), to the thoughtful bride to be emergency kit, to obviously the amazing food. Our guests loved the entrees, but also complimented the flavored waters and cocktail hour apps.

Meg and her whole team at Made by Meg blew us away when they catered our wedding on 6.18.16! From our tasting, where Meg herself came down and went over each item on the menu, all the way through to the late-night snack display at our wedding that looked like a work of art, they were flawless. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection, interesting, and overflowing with flavor and ingenuity. Our guests raved over their meals! Also, Meg's right-hand gal, Nicole, was truly heaven-sent. Nicole is a "YES"-person in the best possible way. Can I add something even though the wedding is in 9 days? YES. Can you figure out how to make/serve frozen daiquiris in 90 degree heat? YES. Can I add turquoise straws, edible flowers, and 3 specialty cocktails? YES. YES. YES. And that's not even the half of it..... She was paramount in the planning of our reception food/drinks/setup/breakdown/trash disposal/etc. It simply would not have been the same without her. Thank you Meg, Nicole, and everyone else at Made by Meg for all that you did!!

Meg catered our wedding reception on 6.2.12 and we couldn't have been more thrilled with her work. She was an absolute pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding: flexible, accommodating, and very creative. She is attentive, easygoing, and has a great sense of humor.
Our venue didn't have a real kitchen, so Meg converted this side room into a fully-functioning kitchen. It was amazing!
She was always out and about throughout the night making sure everything was going smoothly.
We had food stations including colorful salads, pizzas, sliders + veggie sliders, and grilled vegetables. We also had passed appetizers for the cocktail hour. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. The food all had a very home-made quality. It felt made with love.
Meg is a true gem: she is a smart, talented, motivated, communicative, and a dear person. We 100% recommend her.

Meg Hall was a lovely caterer to work with. We learned that our venue (The Sepulveda Home) contracted her as part of our wedding contract and we scheduled a tasting - the food was really really good and well seasoned and textures were lovely. We chose to serve wild mushroom chicken, miso and garlic salmon, and curry cauliflower steak as our guests had a great variety of dietary restrictions. She also managed the staffing for everything according to our needs and variety of food choices offered and everything went off beautifully - the bartender, enough servers for our ~90 person wedding, thoughts on best timing on delivery of the cake and offering to fix any issues if any - she has thought of everything and her impressive portfolio of catering some famous clientele really tells in her service! Meg's staff were wearing black and matching headbands, very professional who zipped in and out throughout the venue. Our guests told us at the wedding that it was the best wedding food I’ve ever had (spoken by many guests including some seriously foodie friends). The food had attractive and classy plating, beautiful cheese platters presented with fresh fruit on wood slices at the welcome reception. We were thrilled with everything down from the salad to the sides (haricot verts with crisped shallots, corn souffle) and we were so happy that the drinks came out picture-perfect and nice and strong :) Great communication throughout the months working together about how to work the wedding out and coordinating, friendly and professional. Highly highly recommend!

We hired the Made By Meg (MBM) team for our small, intimate wedding this past May and they were absolutely amazing.

From signing on to the actual event date, we had so much trust in the MBM team. They have the entire process down; everything is so organized and all the little details are considered and communicated.

I have to give a huge shoutout to the sweetest ever, Angela, who initiated our contract. (She's unfortunately no longer with the company, but wanted to mention her, as she was such a huge part of us wanting to sign on). We were then re-assigned to Kat, who was equally awesome. She helped us finalize all the details of our contract (as we made a few customizations) and ran through the timeline and finishing touches with us before the wedding.

Then, on the day of, the team, led by Mila, was phenomenal. Everything was set beautifully, the food was delicious, and everyone was just so kind and a joy to work with.

Would highly recommend this team, if you are thinking about hiring a catering company for your next event! :))

Meg will be catering our wedding and we am so excited. We had our tasting and not knowing what to expect Meg blew our minds! The food is SOO delicious and Meg is so gracious and friendly. She is great about working with you to make the perfect menu, tailoring it to fit your venue and your budget, she is also responsive which is very helpful when you have questions. She also recommend our florist and we love them too. Meg has been a pleasure so far and I recommend her and her amazing food for ANY event you may have.

We got married at a venue where Made by Meg is the in-house caterer, so we were paired with them. To start, their food is delicious! We loved it and had a dessert table that was unreal. Our tasting went great and was a wonderful experience. The staff on the day of our wedding was stellar, and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, we did have some issues with them leading up. From the beginning, they weren't upfront about their pricing on multiple occasions. We considered doing an all-day buyout of our venue. Our venue told us how much they'd charge, and MBM left out that they'd charge thousands in daytime catering fees (we were not eating/drinking until dinner time.) This was because they'd otherwise book a morning wedding. This seemed a bit scam-y to me, but ultimately fine, if they had communicated upfront. They are very pricey, which is standard for the wedding industry in LA. We did not meet their catering minimum for our Saturday night wedding at 117 guests, so we had to add on thousands in extras. Almost every time I got a new proposal draft, there were upcharges and additions I didn't approve. If I hadn't looked very thoroughly, I would've been overcharged. Also, we ended upgrading to the top tier drink package, which you would imagine to be top shelf. The nicest whiskey was Maker's Mark. When we inquired about anything nicer, we were told it would be extra per person. This seemed odd for the high cost of the premier package. 3 weeks prior to our wedding, we were choosing aforementioned required additions to our proposal. We had paid 2/3rds of our total already. Without ever sending us the final payment link and while the proposal was unfinished, we were told we were "delinquent" and would be required to pay by wire or credit card (which incurred a huge extra fee.) They also tossed in a threat that further action would need to be taken if we didn't immediately pay. As we were clearly good for the money after working with them for a year, I thought this was wildly rude and unprofessional. Thankfully, we had a month-of planner who helped us sort it out. We brought to their attention we were never sent the link and it was remedied, but it was a sour note to end on. As mentioned, to their credit, the food and staff on our wedding day were incredible, and I appreciate that very much. This was primarily an issue with our point of contact and how they handle things internally. Although I wouldn't change my venue/wedding day for the world, I would've liked to know some of this beforehand. There are some things you just don't find out until long after the contracts are signed. Hope this helps future couples make a fully informed decision!
