Let's just say that I don't exactly have an eye for floral designs and the like--although, in typical bride style, I tried to exert control over the entire situation. Enter Surroundings Flowers, more specifically, Diane Wagner from Surroundings Flowers. She took my mangled/hopeless attempts at floral-designing and turned them into beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, altar decor. . . She worked wonders within my budget (and despite my decidedly "left-brained" approach to the whole process), and, in the days leading up to the wedding, she played therapist when I started second-guessing myself.

I should mention, as others have, that Surroundings Flowers is one of our venue's "recommended vendors." So, who knows whether I would have found them if I hadn't seen their name on the list. Still, having worked with Diane, and having seen their finished work on my wedding day, I would hire them again in an instant.

Surrounding Flowers located at 1350 Amsterdam Avenue in New York, New York was my florists.Diana Wagner was amazing assisting with my floral arrangements/ The detail of the flowers were amazing. She brought about my vision of coral, ivory and mint green to perfection. My guests were speechless. My bridesmaids bouquets, bridal bouquet and other arrangements were breathtaking. The coral and white peonies were breathtaking. The hyacinths and hydrangeas were to die for. She was awesome and very flexible and I totally recommend her to be your florists for any event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Surroundings and Diane. I searched high and low for a Manhattan florist who was capable of doing lush, traditional, garden style flowers for my wedding (I am really not into the floating orchid in a vase with water thing). Most of the florists I met with did not really seem to do this type of style from looking at their portfolio or some of the quotes I got to do this lush of an arrangement were insane ($500+ each). My mock up was shockingly exactly as I had imagined it in my head (I also was very specific about my flowers and ordered special urns and mercury glass vases so for it to be exactly what I wanted on the first try was a very pleasant surprise). The flowers were super lush and fresh, and the arrangements had a ton of blooms. I recieved countless complements on the flowers. Everything was perfect and extremely great value for the product.

Diane and her team from Surroundings were incredible. She listened to my "vision" and then offered some recommendations on how to make things better, and even offered some more cost-effective options. The bridal bouquet was beautiful, and she wrapped stephanotis flowers for my hair that were so lovely, that my guest were trying to convince me to wear my hair like that all the time.

Almost all of my guests commented on how amazing the flowers both looked at the ceremony wrapped in gorgeous birch vases, and on the tables. She also did an amazing piece for my escort card table, which included gorgeous branches with flower accents.

I had a December wedding and she did a great job of embracing the holiday feel, without pushing it over the edge. I cannot say enough about my experience with Surroundings and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Surroundings was great to work with. They are one of the approved vendors through Abigail Kirsch and we were very happy with their services. They understood our vision, knew the space we were working with very well, and made it all happen. I felt like I didn't need to worry about the flowers with them on the job. The owner was very accommodating when we had last minute changes. Very happy with them as a whole!

What can I say about Surrounding Flowers? ONLY THAT IF WANT YOUR WEDDING TO BE ABSOLUTELY ELEGANT AND BREATH-TAKING PLEASE CALL SURROUNDING FLOWERS! My decor/flowers was perfection! I can not express in words about how gorgeous the flowers were! Im tearing up thinking abut how beautiful my wedding was becasue of the decor! I live in VA and was having my wedding in Westchester NY so I couldnt stop in and do the planning in person. I emailed Diane and began my consultation and began planning! IT was soooo easy and stress free. I had a few ideas, and Diane took care of everything else! She popped back a few ideas to me via email and I chose a few and changed some and BAM, flowers were planned. I wanted pashminas on the chairs and A few personal things I made fro the ceremony and I sent them to her and it was taken care of. My bouquet were totally IRISes.........AMAZING! SPECTACULAR! I sent her my grandmother's handkerchief to wrap around the stems (because my grandmother couldn' t be there) and they did it so elegantly. THe bridesmaids bouquets were equally gorgeous...Delicate and subtle and gorgeous. Surrounding Flowers were absolutely fabulous. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THEM!

We didn't have a large budget for flowers, so we were happy that they were willing to negotiate the price. While we didn't request anything extraordinary, in general, they did a good job and we were satisfied with the result.

I loved the photos of arrangements on Surroundings' website, and I would recommend checking their website to make sure that yourr style matches theirs. At my first meeting with Surroundings, I provided magazine cut-outs of arrangements, colors and flowers that I liked. I also gave them a budget and asked that they provide suggestions on how to get everything I wanted within budget. At our second meeting, Surrounding showed us examples of the centerpieces, boutonniere flowers, and bouquet flowers. We were very happy with Surroundings' creativity and suggestions, and after our second meeting, we felt perfectly at ease that our flowers would be beautiful.

On the day of the wedding, Surroundings coordinated directly with our venue to get the centerpieces and other flowers set-up. The flowers were gorgeous and they perfectly matched our style-- elegant, bountiful, and so fresh. The flowers were so fresh that the centerpiece and my bouquet lasted for 2 weeks after the wedding. This was money well-spent, and we highly recommend Surroundings Flowers.
