Best wedding cake I have ever tasted and it looked amazing!

The piping on the top layer of the cake was the wrong color when it arrived, as it was a four layer cake with alternating colors, the fault was not of the cake decorator, as my reciept stated the topper to be the color it had. So the it was MY fault for giving the wrong color, but the delivery staff had extra frosting for touch ups, and the decorator offered to add the correct color to the top layer - and it turned out better than expected, and she also gave us a certificate for us to redeem at our convenience for a cake of our choosing for the added distress on our wedding day.

Publix cakes are reasonably priced and taste good. There was great flexibility in the shapes, sizes, and flavors. Some of the negatives could have been prevented by more careful attention to detail on my end. The first part was the icing decoration (piping). It could have been more modern if I had specified exactly how I would have liked it. The second part, the BIGGEST negative, was that the cake was delivered on a HUGE silver foil covered square platter. Our lovely cake table and cake stand were kind of ruined by this platter. I was unaware it would be delivered on that and definitely should have asked about that aspect of it. I assumed they would have just been able to place the cake onto our cake stand but I probably should have brought them the cake stand we were using in advance. Big oops! It would have been very nice if they would have asked me....what stand do you plan on using? Can you bring that to us? I had to stop by there anyway to pay, I could have very easily given it to them. They were not very flexible or responsive AFTER the fact (understandably so????) and did not help to rectify the situation (e.g., remove the platter and relocate the cake).
