I had a nov 12 wedding at lily lake and I can honestly say it couldnt of been any better. Every1 there was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I deffenetly would recamend this place

I love Lily Lake Inn! We could not be happy with our choice for our venue! Everyone there made our day fantastic. They were all so accomodating and professional! The food is fantastic! We got so many great comments on our food. The price is perfect! Our enitre day was prefect. I can honestly say not one thing went wrong and they did everything the way we wanted. Thank you so much Lily Lake! We had a wonderful wedding because of you!

I had the best wedding possible! I worked with a family friend trish could not have been more helpful..everything worked out great and guests are still raving about how great the wedding was. Tricia was a guest at the wedding but she still made sure everything was going according to plan bc that is how much they put into your event!

I had originally fell in love with this venue because it is affordable, private and the event coordinator I met was very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive in regards to my questions.

When I mentioned that I want to book with them but I also wanted a more detailed contract drawn up than their standard form they were more than happy to help. They mentioned that they will need to get the owner's approval, which is understandable. So I worked with them for 3 weeks and assumed that the booking was going to happen.

Then one day I received an email saying that I should probably consider looking for another venue! Their reason being: I have so much to add to the contract that I must not have felt comfortable with them and suggest I find someone else that would make me feel comfortable. Now, the email was written such that BOTH the owner AND the event coordinator believes this is best for me!

I don't know about you but I find that extremely unprofessional. As a service vendor, shouldn't you try to work with the client on getting what they want? If you have issues then talk to the client and explain why - not turn them away and tell them to find someone else! No, they never try to negotiate with me at all. It was misleading from the get-go. From that email it appears the event coordinator knew from the start the owner may have an issue with my request but misled me for 3 weeks when they should've just said so in the beginning (they stopped being responsive to my emails).

I am not saying this as someone who can't get things her way. I just want to make sure I get what I sign for. If you are ok with what Lily Lake Inn has to offer then that's ok but if you are looking to get something more detailed, this venue isn't for you.

It makes me wonder how many things Lily Lake Inn may have gotten away with.

The Lily Lake Inn was above and beyond the best value for a place to get married in Connecticut.

My husband and I fell in love with their grounds and staff while planning for our wedding reception. We were married at a church and not on-site - but if we had decided to get married out side of the church, it would have been a very beautiful venue.

Trisha was excellent at communicating with us and helping me feel calm before the upcoming day. She set up the cocktail hour room and the main room so beautifully and exactly as we had wanted it.

Although I would recommend Lily Lake to others, there are a few things that made us uncomfortable on the wedding day.

While we were taking our pictures outside with our wedding party, the maitre'd approached my husband and I and told us that the original paperwork was wrong, and we were leaving the venue at 11 instead of 11:30. They would not budge on this timeframe - and it wasn't so much about losing half-an-hour (even though we had met several times to coordinate everything) - it was the way they made us feel like they were "kicking us out".

We did not get service from our maitre'd all night. We were not served drinks or food really. One of our cousins would take food off of the main table to make sure we got it before it was cleared away.

The staff started packing up center pieces and other decorations at 10pm.

We are not very picky people and we really did enjoy our wedding night. I just was disappointed about how "rushed" we felt....however - all of our guests raved about the food and the Lily Lake Inn is very beautiful and reasonably priced.

Lily Lake is beautiful. Tricia has been so helpful with everything from the menue to alternatives. I am so glad I found the Lily Lake.

Lily Lake is the ONLY place to get married in CT! Tricia and Chris will work so hard to make your day an absolute amazing one! I still have guests talking about how amazing the food was, the reception and the ceremony. The grounds are breath-taking, the night went on without a hitch and we could NOT be happier! Thank you sooooo much!

Maitre D' Shanon was amazing, she was cool, calm and collected and took care of my every need. She brought us our dinner and kept our drinks full all evening! The staff was courteous to our guests and very helpful to our pro venders (DJ & Photographer from Powerstation Events).

The food was superb and our guests were and still are raving about the beef. The top shelf open bar was a big hit! The ceremony was outdoors under a large willow tree and set the perfect romantic background with the lake behind us. Our reception was in the Fountain Room which gave a beautiful cabin-like atmostphere to the evening.

Chris and Trish, our wedding planners were professional and helpful in the entire wedding planning process. They promptly answered my emails (always on the same day).

The value....well within our budget and the open bar being included really does add up when looking at other venues.

We absolutely loved every aspect of Lily Lake and would highly recommend the venue to anyone looking for a quality wedding site.

I was married at the Lily Lake just a few weeks ago and I could not have been happier with how everything went. Tricia and Chris, the coordinators, were extremely helpful and quick with their responses for any questions that I had during the planning process. In addition to their help, on my actual wedding day, I was given a personal Maitre D', Stephanie, who was absolutely amazing and made sure that my day went smoothly and stress free.

I originally chose the Lily Lake because of its gorgeous garden and for the rustic charm of the Fountain Room. Although I fell in love with the aesthetics, the price was what sold me. They are truly a business that's in it for the bride. My quote from the Lily Lake was roughly half of what other similar venues were charging and I was actually getting MORE! Don't let the price tag fool you, the food is perfection and is the farthest thing from "banquet-tasting food", my greatest fear when choosing my venue. No instant mashed potatoes here! All of my guests were raving about the food, as well as the well-stocked open bar (that was actually included!) I would absolutely recommend the Lily Lake to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

I could not be more pleased that I chose Lily Lake Inn for my ceremony and reception venue. When I first met with Lily Lake Inn, I looked over the contract and asked Heather what other costs are not included? She told me absolutely everything was included and I would not be charged a penny at the end of the night. (I have heard horror stories from other brides at other venues that have gotten extensive charges for 'extraneous' things at the end of the night) Lily Lake Inn stood by their word and their contract. I compared this venue to at least another 100 venues in Connecticut, and for what they offer, and the beauty of their grounds and rooms, they have exceptional value. Tricia was also very flexible about what my husband and I wanted or did not want, and worked patiently with us! I spent most of my communication with Tricia and she is absolutely wonderful! The thing I appreciated most was how quick she responded to all my emails. If it was a weekday, I would have a response usually within a few hours. They also have two rooms - the Fountain Room and the Ana Delia room. We were in the fountain room, which is absolutely gorgeous, and so is the other one. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Their food is also incredibly delicious - people are still talking about it! Lily Lake Inn stood by their word, did every single thing they said they would do, and my day went incredibly smooth! On an end note, I had a few very last minute guest and table changes; it was the night before the big day so I called Tricia and left her a message. When I got there on the day of my wedding, I expected to have to tell them of the changes and have them fix the tables accordingly, and to my surprise, it was already taken care of. I was truly impressed. I strongly recommend this venue! Good luck everybody!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and The Lily Lake made certain of this...We hit a few minor road blocks but Chris, the catering maitre'd was overly attententive and on point with everything!!....Even the catering manager, Trisha (as pregnant as she was.... :)) made an apperance to send us her best!!....The services were wonderful...Although i didnt get to eat...lol, I hear from everyone the food was great!!....I only wish they were a bit more flexible with the end time of the reception, but all in all it was a wonderful ceremony and night....I would definetly recommend The Lily Lake Inn for any and all of your upcoming functions...they are truly the best at what they do!!

They took care of absolutely everything. The food was fantastic, they were there for us and everyone there. I cannot say enough about the venue and their staff. They were even there when I needed some emergency safety pins.

Lily Lake was perfect! Tricia and her staff were amazing. From helping us plan the right meals to the day of the wedding, we loved all of them! Chris, a waiter, was dedicated to me and our table which included our parents, maid of honor and best man. He kept our drinks full and was right there for anything we needed! Although it rained the day of our wedding, Chris and his assistant helped to get us outside for pictures in the gazebo. They held large umbrella's over us so we only had to worry about not stepping in puddles. The food was great, and there was plenty of it! At the end of the night, they put all of the items we brought for decorarting together and carried them outside for us. We loved them and hope to attend a function there again in the future.

What a beautiful place! My wife and I live in South Korea, so my parents had to find our wedding venue in the US for us. They found the most wonderful place at Lily Lake. The staff were so nice and made us feel like royalty all day long.
Everyone loved the food there. We went with a buffet and it was amazing.

What can i say it's a beautiful place, everyone was very nice and polite to us...
The day of the wedding everything was even more beautiful then ever before...Heather she was just a huge help to us and all the Team...the place is adorable and outside pictures will be a dream...we couldn't get anything better and the price is incredible...food was amazing i still have people commenting about the shrimp soup...lol
I loved it...it was a day to remember for the rest of our lifes we had a beautiful day with everyone around us helping us as much as possible!
Even having people coming to us to offer drinks (it was hot outside) but during the shoot it was needed...

I highly recommend Lily Lake. The location was beautiful and the food was delicious. They're very attentive and helped make my day perfect. The weather threw us a curveball, but they made the back up location perfect at a moment's notice.
