The Atrium ballroom covers 6,300 square feet with 20’ tall ceilings and is encased in glass on two sides and opens onto a spacious 4,800 square foot courtyard. The Atrium accommodates up to 350 people with a dance floor and provides an elegant setting for banquets, wedding ceremonies and receptions, meetings, exhibits and trade shows.

The Atrium’s luxurious glass-lined lobby covers 3,100 square feet and provides a perfect pre-function area for any type of event.

The Atrium in Garland is a great venue for weddings. As a wedding planner I like to recommend venues where the staff are helpful, on top of things, polite, & easy to work with. The Atrium in Garland & their staff are all of these things! I worked very closely with Mark Wilson for Tara & Jason's wedding in March 2009! Mark was such a pleasure to work with. He made sure that anything he & his staff could do to help was done! The Atrium in Garland is on my preferred list of vendors and I would suggest that every bride make an appointment to see the venue and meet Mark & Matt! My favorite part of The Atrium is the Dance Floor Package. They have a person working the lights for every song... so when the tempo of the songs change... he is changing the lights on the dance floor to match!! This really sets the mood of the evening and gives it a special feel!!! Your guests are sure to have a great time at The Atrium in Garland!
The Atrium is a wonderful place for capturing that special moment. The lighting at night really comes alive in the pictures and helps create a magical event. The staff is always friendly and professional and really knows how to create a special feeling for the bride and groom. As a photographer there are several places I love to work with and The Atrium is on my A list.

Additional Questions and Answers

1. How do I book my event at The Atrium?
If you are interested in booking your event at The Atrium, please call our offices (972-205-3981 or 972-205-2632) and talk to our staff for availability and information.

2. Is there a deposit and if so, how much is it?
A non-refundable deposit in the amount of one-half of room rental fee is required in order to reserve a date. This deposit is applied to the final balance due. Banquet space will not be held without a deposit. (Note: For social events Friday through Sunday, the deposit is $600.00)

3. When is my final payment due?
Your final payment, less deposit amount, is due no later than 14 days prior to your event. You may pay the amount prior to that date and/or you may pay it out in installments if preferred.

4. May I bring in my own food or use my own caterer?
No. Food and/or beverages must be provided by one of The Atrium approved caterers. However, you may use your choice of vendor for special occasion cakes (i.e.… wedding/groom cakes, anniversary cakes etc…)

5. May I bring in any alcoholic beverages?
No. Alcoholic beverages of any kind must be provided by one of The Atrium approved caterers. No alcohol of any kind may be brought into or taken from The Atrium by clients or their guests at any Atrium event. NOTE: No “alcohol only” events are allowed at The Atrium. Catered food is required if alcohol of any kind is served.

6. Are security guards required for my event?
a. If alcoholic beverages of any kind are served at The Atrium, then (2) security guards are required at a minimum charge of $400.00.
b. If any event hosts 300 or more attendees, then (2) security guards are required at a minimum charge of $400.00.
c. If an event is youth-oriented such as a teen birthday party, bar/bat mitzvah, middle or high school dance/prom, etc…then (2) security guards are required at a minimum charge of $400.00.
d. At the discretion of The Atrium Event Director, security may be required at any event at any time.

7. What should I consider when selecting my vendors?
All vendors need to be aware of, and must abide by, the guidelines, policies and procedures of The Atrium. The Atrium staff can provide you with lists of preferred vendors who are familiar with our policies.

8. Does the rental of the The Atrium include the lobby and the courtyard?
Yes, the Atrium rental includes the Atrium courtyard and lobby on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Atrium Lobby alone is available for rental Monday through Thursday only.

9. Can Atrium chairs and tables be used in the courtyard?
No. The Atrium chairs are not allowed to be used in the courtyard. You will have to obtain them from an event rental company.

10. What is the time period for my reservation?
If your event is on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the reservation time is for a period of seven (7) hours. This time frame includes your set-up and clean-up time. You may reserve your (7) hours between the times listed below:
Friday – Saturday 9:00AM – 12:00Midnight (room must be vacated by midnight)
Monday – Thursday 9:00AM – 11:00PM
Sunday 12:00Noon – 10:00PM

11. Can I purchase additional hours?
You may purchase additional hours if you need more time for set-up or clean up.
Please keep in mind that additional hours may NOT be purchased beyond 12:00midnight. (See The Atrium Price Sheet for hourly rates)

12. Can I provide my own entertainment?
Yes, you may hire a DJ, band or any musical act of your choice for your event. All entertainment vendors must adhere to City of Garland noise ordinances and City policies & procedures.

13. Which forms of payment are acceptable?
The Atrium accepts cash, personal checks, money orders, MASTERCARD, VISA, or DISCOVER.

14. What about parking?
Plenty of free self-parking is available at the Granville Arts Center as well as the Garland City Hall parking lot, adjacent to The Atrium. The DART Transit Center parking lot is also available.

15. Are there dressing rooms available?
Yes. There is one large dressing room included with the rental of The Atrium. This room includes a wall of lighted make-up mirrors as well as a private bathroom with a full-length mirror.

16. Will there be an Atrium staff member present during my event?
Yes. There will be at least one Atrium staff member present during your event. This person oversees and monitors each event that takes place at The Atrium. This person is your direct contact and will have met with you two weeks prior to your event for final coordination. This person is not an event planner or wedding coordinator. If you desire such a service, you will need to contract with an independent service provider.
