About

You'll LOVE how we capture LOVE

.Take-One Studio is comprised of a small group of professional cinematographers, photographers, post production crew and a graphic designer.  We have been on the cutting edge of shooting and post production since 1986.  We don't do the most weddings each year - we only limit our weddings to a limited number as we never produce cookie cutter weddings.  All events are filmed and edited by the owner of the studio.

We are Preferred Vendors for "Style Me Pretty" (www.stylemepretty.com), The Cincinnati Netherland Hilton, Get Married (www.getmarried.com) and we have a 5 Star Rating with Grace Ormonde’s "Wedding Style Magazine"

You owe it to your wedding to explore what today’s Wedding Films are all about!

We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our services to include photography!  The culmination of film & fotos = FUSION!!

Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We like to colorize and create effects by personal taste of our clients.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
All weddings have different lighting situations. Great photographers know what lens and what aperature to use in dark situations. Brides who want candle light ceremonies will regret their images & video.

Digital. There is really no true film wedding photographers. In Cincinnati a few shoot 35mm which cannot compair to medium format. The negatives are then scanned into digital. 2nd generation.

All of our weddings have two photographers. We do have a small "Bailout Package" utilizing one photographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I will personally be present unless our clients only book photography and we have another wedding with video only.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We will film only one wedding a day that is both photo and video.

In photography several digital cameras, lighting with strobe and reflectors.

Frequently Asked Questions for Videography
Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
We are a commercial studio in fabulous "Old Milford"

What types, such as unedited footage or special effects, of videography do you offer?
Very tightly edited. We utilize "Remote Cameras" and "Dreamcam" and definately multiple cameras for the best angles. Lots of special effects and professional audio engineering.

Describe any special editing services you offer:
We are into "Short Form" editing. A total day no longer than 50 minutes. Very upscale with lots of small segments highlighting your day. Very professional & fast forward proof!

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
Our cameras have a very low lux level (lighting level) so if we film an event with professional lighting we most likely will use none. If dimly lit with no lighting then we use a 20 watt light. No stands or lights on wheels!

How many videographers do you work with?
We have two owners and a "Remote Camera" crew of two. Plus our "Dreamcam" operator.

Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Most definately as we the owners do all of the filming and editing. We have no sub-contracted camera crew that we send out. Every wedding is different - we attended we know the personalities and flow of our couple's day. No cookie cutter productions.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
One of the owners will always attend and film the event. We wouldn't have it any other way!

Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We can only handle one wedding a day. No sub contracts ever!

Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
Yes we have three.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
3 chip Digital HD cameras. Tripods. Digital voice recorders and on camera lighting.

Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We always carry two cameras & multiple light kits and a ton of batteries.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Mostly potty breaks... well you asked.

Do you charge overtime?
Yes we do. But most packages are no time limit. Only ala carte gets charged overtime.

Do you give access to your raw footage?
No - and here is why... we have been doing this so long we simply don't just film to be filming. We know what goes into making a great production. We can only put 2 hours on a DVD and that time is used up quickly.

Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for promotions, contents, etc.?
Yes, but only when our clients agree to that and have signed their contract.

Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
We ask for style and music for the final production. Long form or short form. Can she actually sit and edit with us - no. She chooses us for our expertise.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
3 to 4months. We produce films like no other in this area and we have earned our reputation by our filming and editing style. Quality takes time and editing is extremely time consuming. We are actually making a painting for our clients. A Photographer will give you proofs in three to four weeks; but your finished album can take around six months to produce. Your proofs are your unedited version of your album. We do make Trailers for a sneak peek.

Tips and Advice

A few tips we would like to share with you for your wedding day in respect to photography & cinematography.  Save some funds in your budget for professional lighting for your reception.  It makes all the difference in the world!  All of your decor will POP!  When you have no lighting your colors are muted and look simply washed out.  Pin spotting your tables & cake table are totally awesome.  Patterns or a monogram on your dance floor will make the event.  That is where all of the action takes place.

A super cinematic wedding production takes months to edit!  Be patient as you will have this film for the rest of your lives, and quality takes time!  When you visit a studio ask to view actual weddings the studio has produced - not just demos!

Ladies, use COLOR at your reception.  White is definately out!!!  Choose a color scheme or theme for your wedding day.  If everything is white then you blend right in with your decor.  Walk into that reception and make everyone's eyes pop at how totally beautiful you are!!  You are the star you know.

A little thought on HD (High Defination) - all the shows you have viewed on your HD TV have either been sporting events or professionally produced movies or television programs.  That means special filters for the cameras and professional makeup artists for the actors.  HD on your wedding is going to show every flaw on every face in your wedding or your guests.  Also you need a HD VCR for playback.  Not just an HD television.  Give this option some thought.

Oh . . . one last little tip - NO GUM CHEWING!!!!  It looks totallt awful on film - like Bride Cow - LOL

Hope these tips help you out a bit.
