What services does a wedding florist provide?

A wedding florist provides a variety of services, some of which might not be obvious at first.

Consultation: Your wedding florist will meet with you to discuss your vision for your wedding—your venue, your wedding style, your desired color palette, and the types of flowers you like and dislike. Your florist will then create a proposal which will describe the arrangements he or she will create as well as the prices.
Samples: After you’ve signed a contract and shortly before your wedding, your florist may also provide sample arrangements to ensure that you’re on the same page about how your wedding-day flowers will look.
Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

Susand was amazing to work with. I connected with Susan right at the start of the quarantine and even though we never had the chance to meet in person she was able to understand our entire vision through phone calls. Susan was extremely responsive. I don't know much about flowers but she was able to help narrow down what we wanted and ask all the right questions to make our arrangements perfect. Our main color was steel blue and I wanted blue flowers but not ones that look artificial. She knew exactly what to do and it was perfect. Susan was very reliable and understanding. Our flower arrangements were STUNNING! One of our guests works at an art museum and goes to many black tie events and she said our flowers were the more beautiful arrangements she has ever seen. We are so grateful for her hard work. You will not regret working with her!!! We are still waiting on our photographer to send us our pictures so I just attached a picture of my bouquet that someone sent me.

If I had to do it all over again, I would hire Tiffany and her team in a heartbeat. I simply cannot recommend Nina's Floral Designs enough. First, the experience of working with them is fantastic. Tiffany not only got my vision during the first meeting, but she suggested enhancements from the jump. Her team was always so nice and welcoming and made me feel like the most important client. They helped me feel justified when I was checking different options for candles, even when I felt a little bridezilla. Tiffany answers all questions and emails quickly and thoroughly. When it came to wedding day, they delivered. I got so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and it was thanks to Nina's Floral Designs. They made my wedding look exactly like I was picturing and better. What was on my order was what was delivered and then some. More, they provided all this at a reasonable price that was thousands better than other florists I contacted. I cannot say enough nice things as it was a truly enjoyable experience. Pro Tip: They also have a floral designer who preserves bouquets that works on staff with them. She did an amazing job on my floral preservation and it was so simple because I just brought my bouquet with all the return vases. I'm sure if they did pick up for you, they would bring it back too.
