Additional Questions and Answers
Questions for Lisa Marie:

1.Are the photographs on your website ALL taken by you?
Yes!

2.Who will be photographing my wedding?

Unlike a large studio, I am in charge of all aspects of Sweet Tea Photography. I take pride in my work and would never surprise you by sending a random photographer to take my place. My second shooters share a similar style of photography and are unobtrusive.

3.Do you have photos of entire weddings that I can see?

On my website (lisaoquinn.com) you can view a wide sampling of my photography. I have all of my weddings archived on DVD and would love to show you these images during a consultation. This way you can see how I photograph the entire spectrum of a wedding-the bride and groom getting ready, the ceremony, the reception, and the portraits. I also have sample Accordion Folio albums of various weddings to show you!

4.Do you have references I can call?

Out of respect for the privacy of my clients I cannot give out their contact information, but I do work with some wonderful artists and wedding venders that would love to talk with you about their experiences with me.

Yoj Events, event planner based in Savannah, GA, yojevents@mac.com

Bevin Valentine, Fine Art Photographer based in Savannah, GA, bvalen20@student.scad.edu

5.Do you post the proofs online, or will I receive negatives?
You will receive a CD of all your edited images along with copyrights to these images to print wherever you’d like. I also have a proofing section on my website that is password accessible. Your friends and family are able to purchase prints from this website.

6.When will my proofs, prints, and wedding album be available?
Your CD of all the edited images will be mailed to you within 5 weeks. Usually my turnaround time is about 2-3 weeks! Wedding Albums can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks to put together.

7.How many pictures will you take?
I typically take about 2,000 exposures but will edit that down to 600-800 for the CD.

8.What type of training do you have in your field?
I have a B.A. in Fine Art Photography from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. I also have a M.A. in Commercial Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design. I make sure to keep up to date on the latest technology and trends in the wedding photography industry.

9.What type of equipment do you use, and will you have any backups in case something breaks or doesn’t work?
I shoot with digital Nikons. My main camera is the Nikon D-300 and my back-up is the Nikon D-70. I have two SB-800 flashes and 2 Gary Fong Difusing Domes.

I shoot in RAW format, which are very large files. So I carry about 20 Gigs of memory cards with me. During the editing and retouching process I then compress the files into JPEG format, which is easy for anyone with a computer to view.

10.How many years have you been photographing?
I’ve been photographing people for 10 years and have been photographing weddings for 5 years. I have photographed over 40 weddings.

11.What do you charge for overtime?
$200 per hour.

12.There are generally three approaches to wedding photography: traditional portraits, artistic, and documentary. Which describes your style?
I would consider my style to be a mixture of editorial (images you would see in a magazine), artistic, and photojournalistic. I enjoy vibrant colors and contrast.

Helpful Tips:

+ A beautiful picture is only made better by a beautiful background, Pick an uncluttered background without random statues, picture frames, knick-knacks, or strange plants.

+ Make sure that your family and friends are comfortable with your photographer, you never know when some of the best pictures will happen!

+ Make up a package with your stationary, wedding favors and any other details you’d like me to shoot.

+ On your wedding day, it’s possible you’ll spend as much time with your photographer as with you groom, so be sure she makes you (and others) feel comfortable.
