Wonderful experience, even better results!

We could not have asked for a better wedding photographer than Lisa Blume. From start to finish, she made the entire experience feel effortless, fun, and genuinely enjoyable. What could have been a long, tedious process never once felt that way—Lisa kept the energy light, upbeat, and natural throughout the entire day.

Most importantly, the results were absolutely stunning. Every photo feels intentional, authentic, and beautifully composed, while still capturing the real joy and emotion of the day. Lisa has an incredible ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera while producing work that feels elevated and editorial without ever feeling forced.

Palmer, Tented Baltimore Wedding!

I LOVE LISA. Picking a photographer was probably one of the hardest vendors for me, I kept getting the advice to pick someone you love because you spend the whole day with them. Each photographer I met with I liked and loved their work - but it wasnt until I met Lisa that I knew 100% I needed to work with her. From the very first intro meeting, I felt so incredibly comfortable with Lisa -- she made me feel like I could ask anything, suggest anything, and she would always be so excited and ready to make it happen. This comfortability translated into the photos -- making them fun, effortless, and overall beautiful. I'd recommend Lisa to any and everyone she really is beyond talented and such an incredible person.

Simply the best!

Lisa is a phenomenal photographer. Not only is she incredibly talented, versatile, professional, and flexible, but above all she is wonderfully kind, funny, and a pleasure to work with. Lisa photographed our wedding in July 2024 and our photos are absolutely stunning!

She captured everything we wanted and beyond and made us feel at ease and having fun the whole time!

Prior to the day, we connected on what mattered most, style we like, and our vibe. We felt confident we had the shotlist ready to go so the day of was a breeze!

Lisa comes highly recommended and is well known in the DMV. She shot my cousin’s wedding back in 2015 and those photos were equally as beautiful!

Where do we even start with Lisa? Lisa was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding. She was the first vendor we booked and we instantly knew that she's the one for us from our initial call with her. Lisa is very professional, super creative, and she knows exactly how to move our vision to reality. Each and every photo captured by her and her team truly encapsulate all the feelings we felt during the engagement shoots and our wedding day. Her vivacious personality makes taking photos so fun and truly something we look forward to. She is also very good at translating the emotions of her subjects in pictures through different movements and directions that she gives. Phenomenal Photographer, Delightful Person

Lisa is an absolute artist!! We can’t praise her enough. She captured the day so perfectly it feels like the love and joy of the day emanates from the photos. Lisa not only captured the events themselves but the personality of everyone there from me and my wife to our parents to the rest of our friends and family. The photos are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and we couldn’t be happier. She’s not only an amazing photographer but a genuinely kind and wonderful person who is amazing to work with, incredibly conscientious, and just so so fun. A highlight of our big day!

Lisa was a pleasure to work with from the moment I met her! It's important to work with vendors who mesh with your personality and vision, and Lisa was the perfect fit on all fronts. From a personality perspective, she is warm and bubbly. Her expertise with weddings and film was really exciting for us and we weren't let down.

Lisa encouraged us to do the engagement shoot which ended up being great practice for the big day. She was always looking out for our best interest. She was low stress on the wedding day, never pushed us to do photos shorter or longer than we wanted. She returned our wedding photos within weeks...totally unheard of! She was truly a highlight. If you're considering working with her then I would highly encourage you to do so.

Truly wonderful

Lisa is a truly wonderful person and a phenomenal photographer. We knew we wanted to work with Lisa as soon as our initial call ended - she was personable, experienced, professional and spunky. We felt comfortable with her from the start, which was especially important for my husband and I, as we knew we would be a bit camera-shy. Lisa was flexible in working with us for a date for our engagement shoot, traveling from Chicago to NYC, which we couldn't have appreciated more. On our wedding day, Lisa braved the rain and helped us find so many beautiful options for photos (while staying dry!). Amazing - highly recommend!

Lisa was such an amazing photographer to work with. From our engagement shoot where she was such a trooper with the rain and our unconventional location choices, to the wedding day when she was so graceful and organized with tons of extended family, you can't go wrong with her! Lisa was super flexible when we wanted to add some time coverage closer to our wedding date. She also shared so many great sneak peaks that we were able to relive the magic of our wedding day well before we got the full gallery. I was so happy with how our photos turned out and originally picked Lisa because she was so good with film. Our photos, especially our film photos, did not disappoint at all!!

Lisa is the best!! She is really passionate about her work and it shows from the first time you meet her. Not only is she super talented but she is so kind and fun to work with. Beautiful candid film pictures I will always treasure

Simply the best

Lisa + Mady are simply the best, better than all the rest. I loved working with these two. They truly took lemons and made the best damn lemonade. It POURED on our wedding day. We had to go to plan C for almost everything planned that day. The team did everything possible to get all the best shots no matter what. We had wanted to get them outside at the venue in peak fall foilage but had to do them inside my parent's house + on their covered porch. They are absolutely stunning. They got every single detail and made the day look as perfect as I remember it.

Creative , professional and fun to work with 💜

I saw Lisa’s work on social media by chance, I was immediately captured by her artistic approach.
I absolutely fell in love with her ability to harmoniously convey the right emotions & message. I love her style, specially the vintage BW looks.I knew then my wedding will be captured by Lisa Blume Photography or no one else.

Their ability to imagine what’s going to
Work with our overall wedding theme, skin tone, background , our outfits and lighting blew me away ! I think that really shows how creative they are.

We are so in love with the white brick as backdrop and photos we took infront of the
venue. I wasn’t sure how it will turn out when Lisa suggested but I trust her keen eye for detail.

If you don’t have destination where you want your pictures taken, DO NOT FRET !
Lisa and her team will scout a spot for you. They literally sacrificed their days scouting for the perfect place around DC - Baltimore area just for us !

They are so passionate with what they do which made the photo shoot session so fun and not awkward. So sweet , kind and understanding. Our bridal party & families still talks about what a pleasure to work with them.

The best photographer

Lisa Blume is the best photographer. She has a way of capturing light beautifully in photos and more importantly, capturing the BEST moments. All of her photos are so natural and her skills with film photography are impeccable. She did my engagement and wedding photos and with both occasions, she paid attention to detail and really took the time to capture photos that are absolutely spectacular. She was very expeditious in getting the photos edited and sent them back to us very quickly. I am absolutely in love with each photo from my wedding. She has given us a gift of a lifetime and I recommend Lisa with my whole heart!!

Fabulous From Start to Finish!

Perfect for our Elopement!

This review is LONG overdue but as we approach our one year anniversary I have been flipping through our wedding photos and am just so grateful for Lisa and her thorough and beautiful capturing of our perfect day. Lisa was over the top. Is she the least expensive? No but you get what you pay for. My sister in law inspired me to really search hard for a photographer as she regretted not reallocating more money to her photos. I was glad of this advice and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to partner with Lisa. She spent so much time with us, we never felt rushed. She has a creative, artistic touch and photos ended up looking very natural. She does a great job of scouting out the best spots for photos. Oh did I mention that Lisa is also just the sweetest person?! Incredibly important as it was not the most comfortable thing, two introverts getting a million pictures taken of them :) Lisa quickly became a friend and we had a blast with her. She even let me borrow a rent the runway ridiculous gown for my engagement photos! Truly can’t say enough great things about her.

Everything about our experience with Lisa was exceptional. She goes above an beyond the role of photographer - she was responsive throughout the entire planning process, assisted with developing ideas I had for the overall "look" of the wedding, and helped connect dots from planning to execution. She brought a second shooter, as well as an assistant and they all did a fantastic job. She was totally willing to accommodate my schedule of events, very easy to communicate with, and able to provide ideas and suggestions when needed.

They shot all of our posed photos, and then did an amazing job of shooting candids as the night went on. I would highly recommend working wit Lisa for wedding photography!

Sweet Tea was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator. We had considered other photographers, but was won over after seeing a couple of her sample wedding albums. I was moved by all of the special *moments* that Lisa Marie had captured for this particular couple. Lisa Marie did not disappoint when it came to our own wedding. There is true artistry in her work that is difficult to articulate. It was wonderful to see all the details and precious moments of the day captured through her photos, many of which we had forgotten in the excitement of the day. We also loved her use of both film and digital photography, which gave us the best of both worlds (i.e., the quality of film photography, and the range of digital). Lisa Marie was easy to work with both on the day of the wedding and in the weeks/months before and after as well. She is a true pro!

We could not be happier with our wedding photos.

Our wedding was in a remote area in the Arenal volcano region of Costa Rica. Lisa understood what we wanted easily and was responsive to our preferences and the unpredictable weather of the rainforest.

Lisa is truly a fantastic artist – her sensibility and creativity are unquestionable. She was able to capture the special moments and breathtaking scenery in such a way that really resonated with us. The quality photo album she created allows us to relive these moments with family and friends.

Our Wedding Planner recommended Sweet Tea Photography by Lisa Marie to us and we are so happy to have had the opportunity to work with her. We knew Lisa-Marie was an award-winning photographer, however the diversity and extensive body of her work was most important to us. Not to mention that she is a true artist and her sense of style is extraordinary.

As a same-gender couple we were concerned that we would be forced into the traditional paradigm of wedding photography. Not so with Lisa Marie. She is extremely personable and at our very first meeting – and throughout the months we worked together leading up to our wedding - she took the time to get to know us. She asked about preferences, the “must-haves” and most importantly what we did not want. She engaged us often and shared her ideas and professional opinions to help us navigate through the process.

The engagement photo shoot was fun-filled and the resulting images were unbelievable. Lisa Marie captured shots on film and digitally, too, which was unusual and unique. On our wedding day Lisa Marie was careful to respect the importance of the day and not only captured moments we requested but got candid shots of our guests which are very special to us. The photo booth she created for us was so much fun.

Lisa Marie is the most amazing photographer! I loved that she used a combination of film and digital photography that gives her photos such a unique look. I knew from the moment I met her, that I would love working with her. She is super organized and probably the only wedding vendor that really kept in touch throughout the entire process. She is super easy going and really puts you at ease when being photographed, which was kind of uncomfortable at first. I also did a boudoir shoot with her and am so glad that I did. Beyond her rare talent, she’s simply a pleasure to work with. Since we own a wedding venue we know A LOT of photographers, and many of them produce excellent images. We chose Lisa, not only because she is super sweet, but she is one of the best in her field. We also love that she chose to shoot primarily on film. It gives the pictures that fashionable slightly overexposed look, but since it is real, vs in post, they have much more genuine feeling and lightness to them. She was easy to work with, professional and calm (don't underestimate how useful that last one is). We also had a different spec than most couples, as we wanted images for publication and to give to our vendors. She has been great at delivering what we asked, while still been flexible. Very recommended.

We loved working with Lisa & Michelle of Sweet Tea. They were organized and made things easy for us. They blended into our reception so we forgot they were there. And the photos they took came out absolutely amazing, exactly what we were hoping for. We love their artsy style, and how they use real film.

Lisa Marie was recommended to us a week before our wedding when something fell through with our other photog. Thankfully she was free and was willing to meet with us 3 days before our wedding to get to know us better and talk about our plan. Because of her, we were able to relax and have the perfect day knowing that she would capture our special moments.

As a bride, I felt so comfortable around her when she showed up at the hotel room, it was like we were old friends! The whole time she was working she was cheerful and happy, something I appreciated a lot. I love that she shoots in digital and film as well! She was careful to stay in the background during the ceremony, still capturing the moments as we requested, and she was busy taking pictures all throughout the night.

If you are looking for professional photos and someone who is polite/comfortable to be around, I highly recommend Lisa Marie.

We were so happy to work with both Lisa Marie and Michelle for three different sessions. Not only was she responsive, easy-going, fun, and creative, but she has great work ethic and worked seamlessly on the big day with our other vendors (wedding coordinator, videographer, etc). The ladies of Sweet Tea were by far my favorite vendor to work with from the very beginning. Communication you would only dream of from your other vendors - immediate responses to even the smallest dumbest questions, and in a way that I never felt like a client but a close friend. Great prices in such an expensive area for photography, and we got exactly what we wanted with our pictures, including any specific shots and lots of detail shots. I had wanted a vintage feel and with muted lighting, and now my only challenge is choosing between the hundreds of versions of this that I got. We got our pictures back very quickly and are now looking forward to possibly seeing them in some editorials, which is definitely a priority for Sweet Tea which is great when as a bride that is your priority as well. Lisa Marie and Michelle were so wonderful to have at my wedding. They were helpful, unobtrusive, relaxed and fun! We had a very casual wedding and didn't want someone who would force too many posed shots (ie OK everyone at Table 3, SQQUEEEZEEE IN!). Afterwards, several guests even commented how easy going the photographers were. Lisa Marie and Michelle were delightful and dependable. The entire bridal party, our whole family and all the guests enjoyed having them around. They were extremely flexible and open to suggestion and last-minute changes while still bringing many great ideas to the table. Book while you still can!

Lisa Marie is awesome! She was able to roll with the punches with my bridal party full of hams and also reign us in and direct us.The pictured came out incredibly beautiful, my friends say they look like something out of an Urban Outfitter's catalog. She also was able to keep the mood really light and happy and fun and was able to get that we're not typical people. I was excited that day, so I look excited in the pictures. I'm not a day-dreamy person and there was no way I'd end up with "Bride looking bashfully at her bouquet" pictures. Lisa Marie also made a photobooth with silly props like mustaches on sticks and was all about it when I showed her that someone had left a box full of parasols at our venue. So now I have pictures of my friends and me playing with parasols and my husband's groomsmen playing that the parasols are a car and sitting on the front porch with them like southern gentlemen.

Bottom line: Lisa Marie is tons of fun, takes beautiful pictures, can direct you in to looking beautiful, and keep your bridal party in line.

I highly recommend Sweet Tea Photography by Lisa Marie!! Lisa Marie made taking wedding pictures such a fun and easy part of our big day. After the wedding, we had such lovely and stylish photos to remember our wedding day. We felt so lucky to have found her and booked her when we did!!

Lisa was wonderful to work with. I get compliments on my wedding pictures all the time. Her modern style still pays tribute to vintage traditionalism and that makes for absolutely beautiful and timeless photos.

Lisa worked with us to create exactly the kind of package we wanted, while other photographers wouldn't dream of doing what she did for us. We were very specific on the format the pictures were taken in and how we wanted to receive them, and this was no problem for her.

The day of the wedding Lisa was sick, but still came and did a fantastic job. She was unobtrusive but not afraid to pose us during formal shots. Turnaround time for the photos was incredibly fast, much quicker than any of my other friends who recently got married.

We were in the DC area for a wedding and wanted to do some engagement pictures. Lisa Marie was willing to fit us in on a Sunday morning for a quick 2 hour session - she was ultra flexible with us! We had a great time, and the pictures turned out great! We got to tour the area a little and have some great pictures to go with it! She was easy to work with, and her laid back manner made us comfortable in front of the camera. We had a great time!

Lisa is an extremely talented photographer and graphic designer. She is really a "one stop shop" when it comes to wedding needs! She did my save-the-dates, placecards, table numbers AND photography! She is an amazing girl!! She is well-priced, fun, and has a super creative eye. I was so lucky to find her...she is a superstar!!

Lisa Marie was a joy to work with! It was important for me to have a photographer that was both fun and obviously loved their profession. She has a wonderful personality and makes taking pictures comfortable and easy. We loved our engagement and wedding photos, and really appreciated having the rights to the photos afterward. Although it's difficult with just one photographer, she manager to get pictures of the details of the wedding as well as fun ones that we enjoyed mixed in. Very reasonably priced for a very talented photographer, don't look any further! I will definitely consider her for future photography needs.

Lisa Marie was great. Her photos are beautiful, she was professional, yet fun to work with, she was promt in returning the pictures. I recieved so many compliments on her pictures and just on her general presence. She was great!

Lisa Marie was excellent - she listened to exactly what my husband and I wanted, while making some suggestions based on professional experience. We wanted more candid shots then portraits, and she definitely delivered, but we didn't feel like we were being photographed. Looking through all of the pictures (all 536) was like reliving the day and all the fun and memories.

Lisa was very easy to work with while also being able to direct us into pictures that we would treasure. We weren't sure what to do during our engagement picture session, so we appreciated her giving us ideas. Lisa is also one of those rare photographers that we didn't even really notice during our busy ceremony and reception, and that's a good thing! She wasn't intrusive or uncomfortable at all. Lisa was also always available to me by e-mail (this was my preferred method of contact), and always responded quickly.

Lisa made me feel so comfortable on my wedding day. She captured all the small moments that other photographers may have overlooked. The final product was timeless, elegant, and more than I could have ever hoped for. Thanks to Lisa, I have a wedding album that is priceless.

Lisa is incredible!! Not only was she super professional but she was a blast to work with. She captured the exact pictures that I was looking for on my wedding day and is so creative. She is definitely the best and I can't say enough great things about her and her work!

Lisa was terrific! I had a bridal party of more than 22 folks ( 11 bridemaids and 11 groomsmen) and she was able to keep everyone focused and get some great pictures out of the deal! I would definitely recommend her!

Love love love this photographer!!! She was very willing to work with us, and change her plans based on our needs at the last minute! She traveled from Savannah, GA to Northern VA for a nominal fee. All of my family and friends have raved about how well the photos turned out! I'm so extremely happy with our choice to use her as our photographer!

Lisa Marie is so unbelievably talented. I was seeking a whimsical, rustic, very bright look for my photos (think Style Me Pretty) and everything that the Sweet Tea team created was perfect. Lisa Marie got us published in Southern Weddings, among other blogs and magazines! I will cherish our photos forever - they're all over our home. Sweet Tea also went out of their way to accommodate us and our budget, even though we found them under extremely stressful circumstances. Best of all, Lisa Marie really listened to what we wanted on our day – detail shots, natural/not posed portraits, ceremony shots – and completely delivered. If you’re going with Sweet Tea, I highly recommend working with Tabitha Roberts of Roberts & Co. as your planner; they worked together as a team on my wedding to a fantastic result!

I picked Lisa for the lovely photographs but . . . I loved Lisa for her expertise in all things wedding.

Lisa stepped in from day one to help me think through my style, details, logistics and timeline. When a week before the big day both a hurricane and Noreaster threatened our wedding Lisa really showed her true colors and helped me prioritize and plan to make things perfect regardless of the weather. She was a literal ray of sunshine and my husband and I couldn't have been more happy working with her or with the gorgeous photographs that she captured on our special day.

Lisa Marie did our engagement session photo shoot, as well as our wedding day photographs, and it was a pleasure to work with her! Her photos were stunning - she provided a nice array of color and black and white prints, as well as nice action and decor shots. In addition, she was very professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. We would recommend her to anyone who wants to look his/her best in photos for any special occasion!
