What is letterpress printing?
It’s an old fashion form of printing where an inked image is pressed into paper, giving very crisp lines and a three dimension feel. Letterpress gives a great textual impression, especially if combined with heavy cotton rag paper. It’s a unique look and feel that other forms of printing can’t match.
What if I don’t live on the Central Coast?
We can work with you regardless of where you live. Most of our correspondence can be via e-mail. We regularly work with many clients who are thousands of miles away.
What can I customize?
Do you like a design but want a few elements changed? You can customize invitations to fit your taste, from typeface and motifs, to ink colors and envelopes. We use Pantone color system to color match. Wording and text can also be customized.
How many should I order?
Due to the custom nature of letterpress and time involved in printing, it’s better to have a few too many invitations than not enough. Generally speaking we recommend ordering 7-10% more than you think you need. Extras will be needed for addressing and postage mistakes,
How far in advance should I order invitations?
The printing process can take up to 6 weeks. Wedding invitations are traditionally sent 2-3 months before the wedding. We do offer a rush service for 30% more. However, we highly recommend ordering invitations 5 months before the event.
