Every bride wants her reception to stand out, but how many really do? Any reception worth going to takes hours of planning and careful preparation. Many factors are considered while planning your wedding day details, comfort of guests, music selection, volume, personality, and energy. All combine to create the ultimate experience after all, it only happens once.

When you book with Specialty Sound, you will meet with your DJ to discuss your expectations, your dreams, and your fears. We will determine your expectations, and address any concerns you may have. Then, together, we will craft a custom plan for your reception that will reward your guests with an event worth attending from start to finish.

After planning your reception, we will work closely with the other wedding professionals that you have selected, to make sure your reception is seemingly effortless. You will have confidence knowing that every detail has been covered, and that your professional team is working together to make your day successful.

Our Wedding Services Include:

Tommy Evans as your DJ / MC – guaranteed. No substitutes! You deserve to know who your DJ is.
Unlimited Performance Time – There’s no such thing as “overtime”
Unlimited Planning Time – We will meet as many times as necessary to plan the entertainment for your reception. You’ll meet with Tommy, not an office member.
Unlimited Production Time – That’s time that we spend making your reception unique and personal.
Full Sound Coverage – We want your reception to be heard comfortably by all your guests, no matter where they are seated
Sound for Cocktails – We will include sound in an adjacent space. e.g. foyer for cocktails, or perhaps on outside terrace
DJ Assistant – if needed (depending on the size & location of your reception. 95% of our weddings include an assistant)

THERE IS NO BETTER DJ THAN TOMMY EVANS!!! Tommy was amazing from the first moment we met him. We had seen him in action at 2 of our friends weddings, so we knew we wanted to book him the minute we got engaged. We met with another person, just for comparison, but it only showed us that Tommy is all that in more when selecting a DJ. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing he is as a person and DJ. He is considerate, truly listens to you and is detailed to the extent where I'm pretty sure he knows me almost as well as my husband does! :) We met with Tommy about 3 times, and each meeting was fun, detailed and stress-free. He provides you with enough information that we never really had any questions for him. He runs his business with a passion and love that truly shines through in his work. When it came down to the reception planning, we planned every minute of the night with him. He acted as more than just a DJ, but as a MC, coordinator, friend and liaison between the other vendors. We planned introductions for our wedding party for the beginning of the reception, and he did an amazing job! From the music, talking about our wedding party and lighting, it seemed like a concert! Everyone was laughing and cheering. As for the dance floor, we definitely needed a bigger floor! People were packed on the dance floor all night and Tommy deserves all the credit for making it happen. The music was amazing, his lighting was breathtaking and the overall night was so much fun because of him. We will never be able to thank him enough!! We plan to keep in touch with him, because he is just that great of a person. Many people have asked us for his information, so we hope that we get to go to another "Tommy" wedding soon!!! Thank you Tommy!!!!
