Amazing DJ! Star of the show!

Tommy was such a great DJ! He was in constant communication with us before the wedding. He helped our dads as well since they performed the ceremony. He was such an asset. He was even flexible enough to make a last minute change when my groom's mom got hurt and couldn't do the dance so he switched songs for a brother sister dance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

First class!

Hiring Specialty Sound was the best decision we made for our recent wedding event! Tommy met with us prior to the wedding, listened to our requests, and followed through with every single detail! It was flawless!!

Tommy matched the atmosphere we wanted very well. At our meeting with him, he was well prepared and professional. He was flexible during the reception when there were many schedule changes and we didn't have to worry about anything

Tommy was the perfect choice for DJ at our wedding. He chose/played music at the perfect times to keep the guests involved and enthused. His music choices were all clean, and great songs. I would recommend him to anyone needing a great DJ.

As always, Tommy made the night one worth remembering. At first people weren't sure if a DJ was necessary at our event but by the middle of the event people had already begun to ask if Tommy would DJ the next year's event. We have never EVER had people on the dance floor. Tommy, of course, had almost everyone in the room dancing on the actual dance floor! We literally had to have Tommy stop playing so people would leave. The event officially ended at 10pm but no one left until 11pm or later. That has also never happened. He was all people could talk about the next day. This is my second event with Tommy and I will tell you that having him at your event means having an amazing night. Period. We even raised 25K more because people were in such a great mood.

Tommy was not just a DJ.. he was a true entertainer at our wedding! He worked with my husband and I and really got to know us to ensure that our wedding day was personalized and everything we wanted and more. Our guests kept coming up to us and raving about how great Tommy was, and how they enjoyed everything he did. And I could not be more thankful for how stress free he made the process for my husband and me!

Tommy set out a timeline for our wedding reception to make sure that everything ran smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire reception, and was able to enjoy the reception and my guests, stress free, thanks to Tommy! He had tons of creative ideas that he shared with us to make our reception more entertaining. Tommy set up hilarious personalized introductions for each of our bridesmaids and groomsmen which had everyone laughing, and provided "get to know the bride and groom" games to release tables for the buffet line. He also set up a Newlywed Game with my husband and I to answer questions about each other for the guests to watch. He was able to provide beautiful up lighting that really changed the atmosphere of the reception room, and he put together a cd to use during our ceremony so we were able to personalize our music.

There was not one dull moment at our wedding, and I am extremely grateful that Tommy made that happen! He created an envorinment that was fun, comfortable, and memorable. I would recommend him to everyone!

Tommy with Specialty Sound did a phenomenal job DJ'ing and providing lighting for our outdoor wedding reception. He was very attentive throughout the planning process and offered suggestions on ways to enhance the evening to ensure it was everything we had envisioned. He was able to incorporate the music we wanted, and also remained flexible enough to utilize his own expertise in monitoring the crowd and making the necessary changes to ensure everyone enjoyed the evening. The lighting Tommy provided created the perfect ambiance. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. Everything was handed in a way that allowed us to sit back and relax, without worrying about anything. We have been told by many of our guests that it was the best reception they have ever attended. We are the 3rd wedding in our family that Tommy has been part of. Every single time, his work has been perfect and individualized to meet the bride and groom's wishes. No reception has ever been the same. I would highly recommend Tommy and his team to anyone.

Tommy is great. He works with you to find the right tone and pace for your event, and even if you are not sure what you are looking for he can. I was having trouble picking songs for the ceremony, I didnt want the traditional "here's come the bride" (Canon in D) type song but I didnt want to get too crazy. And Tommy helped me find the perfect band that I chose my ceremony music from. Tommy's wife did the photo booth at my wedding. It was amazing, everyone loved it, she did a wonderful job, even had my guests write notes to my husband and I in the photo album she put together. That was one of the best things about how she setup, not only did i get the pictures my guests took, but everyone that posed in a shot, got a copy too. The two of them did a wonderful job, and helped make our wedding a little more memorable.

Tommy Evans did an amazing job at my wedding! He literally is responsible for making it so magical. His ideas on getting guests involved and engaged are so creative and not cheesy like other DJs proposed. The preparation for the production is very comprehensive. He assigns you and your soon to be significant other a wedding reception book to fill out so that he can get an exact feel for what you want out of your reception. He will meet with you as many times as you want so that you feel totally comfortable and prepared for the big day. The music during the event was perfect. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it. I honestly didn't think that my guests would be into dancing on the dance floor, but I was SO wrong! My guests were itching to get out on the dance floor and Tommy had them going until our time was up. He also made the night flow perfectly. He is definitely a Master of Ceremonies and used music and his presence to direct the night in the direction I wanted it to go. Tommy did an amazing job at my wedding and I would have paid double of what he charged! He is that AWESOME!

Tommy did an incredible job at our wedding and reception. We had so many people tell us what an incredible experience they had and I believe this was partially due to his part in running the sound and helping the service have smooth transitions musically.
Our reception was also great especially because of his professionalism and fun nature. He was very flexible with all our request and always wanting to please and know our wishes. He also created a very fun family friendly environment during the reception time which was very important to us.
I would highly recommend him to anyone who might need his services.

Tommy Evans of Specialty Sound was just fabulous! From day one, he worked closely with me on the playlist and guided me through the steps for a slideshow and other video. One thing that made it so nice was that he dresses handsomely for your event and thus sets a tone of festivity and youthfulness, even for a milestone birthday party such as mine! The lighting he uses is very pretty and adds a great deal to the elegant and fun-loving atmosphere as well as to the photographs. My guests are saying they now wish to have a dinner dance for their birthdays...and they want Tommy Evans to be the DJ! He has ways of helping the evening to stay organized (I won't give away his techniques here online, but you can ask him what they are when you contract with him)! His pleasant and kind demeanor mean so very much when it's your one-time event and you want everything to be perfect! I highly recommend Tommy and Specialty Sound. It was indeed a pleasure to work with him

I had a number of audio visual events simultaneously all over South Texas. Tommy Evans took care of 3 events for me. Out of all of the events, I didn't have to worry about him. Very professional service! I will definitely use again!

We LOVED Tommy!!!! He made us feel right at home when we went to see him at the office.....he listened to us and helped us with the areas we needed help. He even surprised us with things on our wedding day!! Eight years later and we still have friends calling us for Tommy's number b/c they remember how great he was and what a fun party we had!! We have had several friends use him now and they were all very happy with Tommy.

Thanks, Tommy, for a well executed corporate holiday party with short notice. The paperwork was easy, your timing, punctuality and set-up was great, your crew was professional and everything went off without a hitch. Tommy Evans of Specialty Sound was the dj at my wedding in 2009 at the Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas. Our experience was so incredible, my cousin and her now husband opted to have their wedding November 10th at the same venue and enlisted Specialty Sound, as well. While the venue is beautiful, it is a large space, with several rooms and corridors; which makes it tricky to keep guests engaged and the celebration flowing. Tommy did an AMAZING job at both of our weddings, and I truly believe both events were such a blast BECAUSE of his professionalism, attention to detail, and passion for what he does. As a bride, there is much to stress about, especially with vendors. Throughout the planning process, my interactions with Tommy kept me excited and gave us peace of mind that he would deliver and make our "Big Day" everything we hoped for. I highly recommend Specialty Sound, and can't say enough about the caliber of service and integrity of this company!

My wife and I were married on June 25, 2011, and held our reception at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. Tommy was the DJ we had selected for our special day and evening, and it was such a great decision. From our very first meeting with Tommy, he worked to understand us as people, our vision for our reception, song choices, etc. He solicited our input, while at the same time offering needed guidance! Tommy was fun, personable, professional, and delivered a quality experience for all of our guests. We would highly recommend him to anyone considering a DJ for their special event.

Working with Tommy was 100% pleasure. He is a master at matching the music to the type of guest and party. The result being everyone was out on the dance floor. I was very impressed by his Planning Program he gives the client. It does not miss a detail and makes the planning easy. He gave lots of suggestions for extra fun details you can add. For example we had a special birthday guest. He worked into the cake cutting the Bride giving first piece to birthday boy with a candle. This was our second wedding that we used Tommy. 5+++

Tommy is incredible! He gave our wedding the fun factor and incorporated some really great extras, special introductions, etc. My husband had been to 5 weddings that Tommy had DJ'd over the years and there was no question that he would be our DJ. We were so lucky to have him!!!

I was worried that because my family and my husbands family were not dancing type people that no one would dance. I couldn't have been more wrong! As soon as Tommy started up the reception music people were out on the dance floor until the wedding ended; it was absolutely perfect. I would recommend Tommy in a heartbeat. If I can give any advice at all it would be to select on quality and not price. Anyone can price you cheaper than someone else. Not anyone can be the master of ceremony, party starter, dance director, event coordinator. Tommy was all the above. When I went back to review all the vendors I had hired, Tommy was by far the best decision I made. We had an outdoor wedding in June (hot) with an indoor reception. The airconditioner broke at the venue the day of the wedding.... Tommy kept it going in spite of all the heat and everyone of my guest commented about our DJ making it so fun.- Thanks Tommy!!!!

My wife and I had the task of choosing a DJ for our wedding. After meeting a number of DJ's we took an instant liking to Tommy. We liked that he was extremely professional, came to our first meeting well presented, listened, took notes, made recommendations/suggestions, was personable & made us feel very comfortable with the format of not only our wedding ceremony but also our reception musical format & choices. Additionally Tommy provided the lighting for our reception which was perfect, it set the mood for our evening. Our wedding reception was a blast, I cannot remember the dance floor being empty once, Tommy kept the party going all night with great musical choices. If we are ever after a really good DJ again or our friends are we would have no hesitation in recommending Tommy.

Tommy was great at keeping the show (reception) moving all night. He also got all of our older guests to get up and dance for a long time which was important for us, but then moved to a more party atmosphere for all our younger friends as the night got later. We would recommend him to anyone!! He also provided fabulous lighting. He worked with us in a personal way to make sure the night turned out exactly how we imagined it. The night was perfect!

Tommy was a delight to work with. He read the crowd, played the music that would keep the party going, and was a GREAT help as the emcee! He went above and beyond to taylor our party just for us! Any song we wanted...He had! Our wedding reception was unexpectedly short and his ability to adjust and be flexible while trying to accomplish our vision and desire was outstanding! To say that we would recommend Tommy would be a VAST understatement! You will be blown away by what he will bring to YOUR celebration!

Specialty Sound DJs was amazing!!!! They provided the exact kind of services we were wanting and they made our wedding reception come to life. We were told by most of our guests that the reception was amazing and the DJ was awesome with his music selection. Our DJ, Tommy Evans, did a great job keeping the reception schedule on track, but also providing me and my wife with the flexibility to make any changes we wanted. We came into our wedding not knowing anything about successful DJ's or exciting receptions, but Tommy gave us so much information and helped us choose exciting songs and activities that were perfect for us as a couple and our wedding. We recommend Tommy and Specialty Sounds to anyone who is looking for a reception that will have people talking about it months and maybe even years later. Tommy was the best DJ. Our reception was perfect and we never had to worry about anything because he took care of everything and it went so smooth. I loved our DJ Tommy Evans. He was so interactive, friendly, and outgoing. He really kept the party going while staying on our schedule. He gave me reminders of when we were going to do certain things during the night to make sure that the vibe was right. He had people out on the dance floor constantly. It was so FUN!!! He did a great job announcing everything and everyone with such ease. He was a great DJ and very responsive and professional. He stepped in at the last minute and I could not thank him more for making our day so great.

Tommy was the MC/DJ at my wedding and he did a spectacular job. Based on the few songs I gave him he was able to infer which other songs would create the feel of the reception. He kept everyone dancing and kept the mood energetic and fun. The songs he picked were just right and he did not play anything cheesy or silly or lame. I would definitely recommend Tommy to anyone looking for a great DJ.

Tommy took over our event after unforseen circumstances occurred with another DJ. During our initial meeting, he was professional and had great ideas on how to keep the flow of the ceremony and reception going. The music during dinner that we left up to him to play was PERFECT! During the reception, he kept us all informed of what was next and everything went so smoothly. He was a great asset to our event and we are thrilled with the way it all turned out. Tommy was great not only at the wedding, but also in the planning process. He really knows what he is doing and was able to walk me through things I hadn't ever even thought about. He really helped me make it personal and exactly what I wanted it to be. He also made me feel confident that I could relax and enjoy the day of because I knew he would handle the schedule and events. By the day of the wedding, he felt like an old friend.

Tommy did a fabulous job at making our event great! He is extremly seasoned and well versed in knowing how to handle all the issues that pop up and I couldn't be happier!

Tommy with Specialty Sound is one of the BEST event vendors I have ever partnered with! He's professional, adaptable to unexpected situations, and creative! He listens to what the "client" wants and offers suggestions that the client may not have thought of. I would highly recommend Tommy and his team to anyone who has an upcoming event! Absolutely wonderful and well worth it! Tommy provided the absolute best mix of "clean" music, wittiness and humor for my 16 year old daughter's birthday party. Many of her friends complimented her on the choice of DJ and how fun the even turned out to be.

DJ Tommy Evans went the extra mile to make sure all the sound for the Ceremony was wired correctly, even though the hotel was providing the equipment. The music playlist was modified with the mood of the crowd and had a very smooth flow. The guests had a great time, and definitely left them wanting more when the Reception was over. I have received tons of compliments from the guests on how energetic and lively the music was, and he made the party happen!

So much fun! I attended a wedding before mine that Specialty Sound DJ'd, and I was not disappointed by my event! Tommy does a great job MC-ing the event; really makes things flow and provides lots of good ideas to get guests involved! Worth the price!

My search to find a DJ was terrible, until my husband and I met Tommy. We booked him right away and had him DJ our wedding back in January. I have nothing but positive things to say about him!! I would recommend him to anyone! He is not only professional but very personable. Every meeting we had with him was very productive. He was more than willing to sit down with us as much as we wanted to make sure our wedding was perfect. During the wedding we had people on the dance floor until the end of the night. Even my parents friends were out there dancing. It was a great mix of songs too. He was worth every penny!

Tommy was amazing! Everyone is still talking about how fun our wedding was and we believe it was because of Tommy! He was worth every penny and we would recommend him to anyone! He is fun, flexible, and very easy to work with! You will not be disappointed!

It would be hard to give Tommy any thing but all 5's. We had fun, our wedding party had a blast and the rest of the guests are still talking about the great time that they had almost 2 months later!!!

THERE IS NO BETTER DJ THAN TOMMY EVANS!!! Tommy was amazing from the first moment we met him. We had seen him in action at 2 of our friends weddings, so we knew we wanted to book him the minute we got engaged. We met with another person, just for comparison, but it only showed us that Tommy is all that in more when selecting a DJ. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing he is as a person and DJ. He is considerate, truly listens to you and is detailed to the extent where I'm pretty sure he knows me almost as well as my husband does! :) We met with Tommy about 3 times, and each meeting was fun, detailed and stress-free. He provides you with enough information that we never really had any questions for him. He runs his business with a passion and love that truly shines through in his work. When it came down to the reception planning, we planned every minute of the night with him. He acted as more than just a DJ, but as a MC, coordinator, friend and liaison between the other vendors. We planned introductions for our wedding party for the beginning of the reception, and he did an amazing job! From the music, talking about our wedding party and lighting, it seemed like a concert! Everyone was laughing and cheering. As for the dance floor, we definitely needed a bigger floor! People were packed on the dance floor all night and Tommy deserves all the credit for making it happen. The music was amazing, his lighting was breathtaking and the overall night was so much fun because of him. We will never be able to thank him enough!! We plan to keep in touch with him, because he is just that great of a person. Many people have asked us for his information, so we hope that we get to go to another "Tommy" wedding soon!!! Thank you Tommy!!!!

Tommy did a fantastic job at our reception. He kept everyone on the dance floor - even those who we thought would never leave their tables! He even managed to get my grandparents out there for an anniversary dance, which was a wonderful event and treasured memory. His organizational skills are wonderful - I did not have to stress about the reception in any way. The planner he provided was a welcome part of our own planning processes. Tommy is the reason our reception was a success!

Tommy did a GREAT job on my daughter's wedding and reception. He worked with us to make sure the day was individualized and just what my daughter had envisioned. In particular, he helped make sure the band (long time friends of the bride and groom) and the DJ's songs, along with transitions back and forth between DJ and live band were seamless. In addition, Tommy provided backdrops for the stage and lighting for the reception...both were done very well.

Specialty Sound is my first and ONLY choice when it comes to every event I plan. I honestly would try my best to change my date to accommodate Tommy and his crew!

Tommy Evans was fantastic. We had so much fun at our wedding. He was organized, professional, and so much fun to work with. He gave us some amazing ideas that we used and everyone loved. Everyone talked about how much they liked the entrance of the bridal party and Tommy was the one that helped us come up with it. We were 100% satisfied with his services. We would definitely recommend him to anyone who is planning their wedding.

Tommy's prices were originally well above what we intended to spend on our DJ. However, when we met with him for the first time, we were sold. He is truly a master of ceremonies. You rehearse the short wedding ceremony, but Tommy covers the details of the reception. Our diverse group of family and friends danced for six hours, until he hotel kicked us out! Tommy doesn't have the traditional 4 hour limit, because he so often keeps the party going for longer. He individualized everything to our personalities. We made our grand entrance to the ceremony to AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" and "Oklahoma" to be like the introductions for our favorite sports team, the OU Women's Basketball team. The best part about Tommy was that even though his presence made our reception the best wedding of all times, you hardly even noticed that he was there. I highly recommend Tommy Evans.

Tommy was awesome at providing exactly what we wanted at our wedding reception. We had several unique and specialized requests that he pulled off without a hitch. We were told by numerous guests that this was the most entertaining wedding reception that they had ever attended and Specialty Sounds was a big part in helping to achieve that.

Our downfall was that we were asking things of Tommy last minute that we should have asked for further in advance. Tommy was great and ran with our initial suggestions. One of the servers at the reception told us afterward that was the most fun wedding they had ever seen. Another person told us once the music started you could tell everyone was having a great time.

They provided wonderful entertainment for our guests. They knew how to play just what everyone wanted, and really kept the party going. I was hoping they would be a bit more interactive with the guests. Overall, they did wonderful. VERY professional and easy to work with!

I felt like the DJ's set up and sound were very well done and his presence was very professional. However, a lot of our "must play" list songs did not get played, and I was very disappointed by that, because I had dreamed about dancing to those songs at my reception, and a lot of them were of personal significance to either our relationship or to our family and friends. Overall, the service was very well done, and I definitely appreciated his willingness to work with us long distance in our planning, but I don't think it was quite worth how much we spent.

For every song he played, he played the full version of it... all 5-6 minutes. People on the dance floor were tired of the song after 2-3 minutes but he just kept playing it. He played oldies for wayy too long in the beginning. He didn't have a great idea of good songs to dance to.
