There are also 43 other rooms on-site you can use to host your events. Many of the rooms overlook the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, providing beautiful scenic views of downtown Chicago. You can host your wedding ceremony, reception, bridal shower, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner. You and your wedding party also have the option of getting ready on-site in one of the beautiful rooms. Even with a downtown location, parking and valet are available, and the entire hotel is accessible for wheelchairs.

The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk will work with you throughout the planning process with an experienced event planner to bring your wedding visions to life. They offer bar and catering services and provide tables, chairs, linens, barware, flatware, glassware, and lighting options. Your musical entertainment will also be able to use their audio equipment on-site. On your wedding day, talented staff members will set up and clean up the event. You can work with the chef to design a menu, including dessert if desired, and taste the food before serving it in a buffet, plated, stations, hors d'oeuvres, or cocktail reception style. For bar services, you can choose to host a cash, limited, or open bar. The experienced bartenders can serve champagne, house beer, spirits, wine, and specialty offerings. As for the catering, the food was excellent as well. We had a tough time at our tasting because we liked everything! Even the finickiest eaters have told me the food was great at our wedding. The ceasar salad in the parmesean cheese bowl is a must have!

When we ran into a small issue with our room blocks, he handled it with so much kindness and patience. It wasn’t just “good service” — it felt like someone genuinely looking out for us during one of the most stressful parts of planning.
Behind the scenes, Lisa was our quiet hero. Coordinating with third‑party vendors — especially our own caterers — can be complicated, but she managed it all seamlessly. Knowing she was on top of every detail gave us so much peace of mind. We never had to worry about whether things were being handled; she made sure everything just worked.
The venue itself was magical. We split our reception into a cocktail hour and a sit‑down dinner, and the flow couldn’t have been more perfect. The Riverwalk during Labor Day weekend felt like something out of a movie — the views, the energy, the breeze off the water. It created such a joyful start to the evening. And when we stepped into the reception hall… it took our breath away. With the décor in place, it felt grand, elegant, and full of warmth. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything looked.
Looking back, choosing the Sheraton Grand was one of the best decisions we made. They didn’t just give us a venue — they gave us a team that cared, a space that elevated our traditions, and a wedding day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
