The Instructor - Julia Sanna, MS, MFTI is a Court Registered Marriage Preparation Provider in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. She is also a family counselor at a church in Lake Worth, FL. Couples receive a personalized report of their online relationship assessment, a couples workbook, 5 premarital sessions, a $32.50 discount off of the Florida marriage license fee and a waiver of the 3-day wait in Florida, a free honeymoon 101 session if signed up for Prepare/Enrich or Prep/Cprep classes, an extensive relationship gift book, a referral to a newlywed first year of marriage group class, a referral to a certified financial planner as needed, a free follow-up session after 6 months to 1 year of marriage, continued accessibility and referrals to licensed marriage counselors if additional issues arise in your marriage. Time: Couple’s Availability (Day, Evening & Some Weekends)

Info: The updated Prepare/Enrich program use an extensive inventory with over 225 questions to examine the couples relationship. It helps couples build on strengths and improve growth areas based on results of their personalized inventory report. The new program adds the following components - personal stress assessment, committment level and SCOPE personality assessment among others.This program has over 30 years of validated research in helping couples navigate their early years of marriage.

Specialized Inventories: The inventory creates over 30 possible relationship types to classify couples enabling detailed and unique educational or counseling sessions. Some of the combination includes unmarried couples without children,  unmarried couples living together, unmarried couples with children, married couples enrichment and couples over 50 among others.

 

Wedding Stress Class

How to handle the stress of wedding planning.

Days: Saturday Group Classes (can be offered individually)
Hours: 10:00am - 12:00pm (2hrs to complete class)

Cost: $40 per couple, $25 per individual

Info: The class helps couples planning their wedding. It teaches how to lower stress, anticipate people problems and solve dilemmas. Topics include identifying your stress type, handling family pressure, expectations, setting boundaries, working as a team, understanding your in-laws, working within your wedding budget, handling the unexpected among other topics. It features DVD sessions followed by practical exercises and discussion. The facilitator is able to direct couples to additional local resources within the community as needed.
 

PREP (or CPREP) Sessions

Class: 5-8 Couple or group sessions

Time: 1.5hrs - 2hrs long per couple session (8hrs total)
Location: Couple’s preference or group session location (e.g. church)
Cost: $250 per couple plus $30 Couple's online Assessment

Info: The PREP program is a premarital education course that teaches couples how to communicate without barriers or filters, relationship danger signs, physical intimacy, spiritual intimacy (CPREP-Christian version), solving problems etc.

Honeymoon 101 Sessions

Time: 1.5 to 2hrs long

Location: Couple’s preference or Group session location e.g a church, community center etc.
Cost: $40 per couple

Info: Topics include cons & pros of adventure packed versus laid back honeymoons, what to discuss at your doctor’s appointment, bachelor(ette) parties, creative ways to celebrate singlehood,  must have wedding night items,wedding night expectations, questions you are afraid to ask, emotional and spiritual blocks to enjoying sex (referral to therapy if desired), wedding night sex & day after - having hot monogamous married sex! It helps couples anticipate each other's intimacy needs in their first year of marriage to avoid unmet or unrealistic expectations. It also focuses on the importance of fidelity within the couple's relationship to build an atmosphere of loving trust.
