Hear the music. See the lighting. Meet the DJ! Unless you are experienced at planning weddings, you are on the learning curve when it comes to planning your own. One of the first things I try to do is inform potential clients about their options and give them as much information as I can. This helps them get the right DJ, whether it's me or someone else. Music, reception planning, announcements, lighting, packages and pricing and making your event unique are some of the areas I cover, as part of a complimentary initial consultation. At that point, you'll know what to look for and what to ask when comparing DJs. My feeling is, the more knowledge you have the better decision you will make.
