Christina LaRocca sang live with guitar and audio soundtrack for my wedding to greet the guests, then during the ceremony and cocktail hour. She has a beautiful voice and is extremely talented with a large bank of songs that she knows. All of my guests were raving about how magical she made the wedding with her special flow. She was extremely easy to work with, organized and detail oriented, professional but still very personable, and set all of my many concerns at ease. She came equipped with all the the tools she needed and seamlessly sounded the different areas of my wedding, which was a large outdoor space, and it sounded amazing. She brought the vive I was looking for the wedding to life. I can honestly say she was the best and easiest vendor to work with. I sampled her DJ services and regret that I already had booked a DJ before meeting her. Regardless, she was the perfect addition to the wedding and added an extra layer of elegance to the wedding. Christina LaRocca(DJ L Rock) has been and will always be the best dj ever! She Djed our wedding and my biggest fear was an empty dance floor… but our dance floor was so lit thanks to her!!!!!!! She was thorough with what vibe and sound we wanted and it was perfect. Even our most introverted friends were dancing like never seen before! TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the shit out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none.

The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday.

But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy.

Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night.

My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well. 😉

What can't we say about Christina? we LOVE her!!! From the moment we got on the phone with her, my hubby and i knew that she was going to fit our vibe. Plus, I was searching for a female DJ and I couldn't have asked for more.
