Talega Golf Club is a wedding venue located in San Clemente, California. Situated amidst the scenic San Clemente hills, this traditional club fuses rustic charm with timeless sophistication. The clubhouse is designed in a Spanish colonial style, with a rust-red roof and cream white walls. The main building is surrounded by tranquil woodlands, palm trees, and golf greens, all of which are framed by the sun-drenched Californian blue sky.
Facilities and Capacity
Talega Golf Club can cater to weddings for up to 200 guests. Ceremonies are held in the picturesque courtyard overlooking the manicured landscape and sweeping views of the course and the area's riparian terrain. Couples can host their reception outdoors in the Courtyard, which is ideal for 170 loved ones. Indoor receptions are held in The Signature Room, a classic ballroom that fuses rustic elegance and refinement. Authentic chandeliers and expansive windows help create a romantic and atmospheric backdrop for special occasions. This traditional space overlooks the terrace and gardens, and offers serene views of the fairways and golf greens. Complimentary WiFi and parking are available at this venue, and the golf club and grounds are wheelchair accessible.

The experienced staff is on hand to cater to your every need. An in-house event planner will collaborate with you in curating your dream day, from design and decor to sourcing vendors. The dedicated team oversees setup and breakdown on the day. They provide everything from chairs, tables, and linens to barware, flatware, glassware, and a variety of decorative options.
Cuisine
The culinary team provides delectable cuisine for wedding events. Led by director Michael Voorhees, the expert chefs will tailor their menus and creations to reflect your preferences. You can choose from buffet-style stations or plated service, and treat guests to hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour. In terms of bar service, couples can opt for an open or cash bar service. The bartenders are on hand to serve guests with a selection of wine, beer, alcoholic spirits, and signature drinks.

A wedding beyond what we dreamt
My husband and I got married at Talega back in May 2025, and people still talk about how perfect everything was. They are right (not biased at all) - everything was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change one thing.
Let’s start off with the star of our special day. Michael was such a crucial part of the entire wedding process. He made everything from the start of planning to the end of the event so smooth. He lwas thorough, extremely detailed, attentive, professional, and patient. We didn’t hire a wedding planner, so we were a little nervous about how everything was going to turn out. Honestly, we did not need one because we had Michael. He made sure we had the best wedding ever, and he 100000% delivered. He took care of us so well, and we were able to enjoy our wedding stress-free. I made a few mistakes with some of our guests’ meal selections, but Michael quickly came to the rescue and fixed everything on the spot in the midst of the craziness. Our guests still talk about how amazing he was!
The venue is incredibly beautiful. It was renovated in early 2025, and we had the privilege of having our wedding in such a perfect space. It’s clean, spacious, and modern while timeless. Part of the golf course was blocked off during the wedding so the space truly felt private. The ceremony was held outdoors, and the weather was perfect in May. Our reception was indoors, and the room held our 130+ guests perfectly.
The food was amazing. Everything was delicious and worth every penny. For appetizers, we selected the beef skewer with thai plum sauce, grilled scallops wrapped in bacon, and the spinach and feta puff pastry. For our entree, we chose the grilled shrimp and tournedos of beef. Everything was delicious and eaten too quickly.
If you want the wedding of your dreams, I highly recommend going with Talega. You will not be disappointed!
Our Wedding Day
In addition, my husband and I lucked out because the venue got re-modeled earlier this year so the entire ceremony and reception spaced was re-vamped and looked stunning. I initially fell in love with Talega because of the Spanish architecture/arches so the re-model was just the icing on the cake. Our photos with the building came out gorgeous.
If you're planning a future wedding, Talega is the perfect venue and I would highly recommend choosing Michael and his services.

Best Day and best venue ever!
You get the outside for the ceremony and the banquet room for the reception. After the ceremony, the outside turns into a nice outdoor area for those who want to get away from the music and participate in any activities you have, such as a photobooth, cigar guy, cornhole, etc. The venue is just absolutely beautiful! The staff is amazing and very friendly. On my wedding day, when I was stressing, Michael did everything he could to make sure I was not stressed and taken care of. He took care of my mom as well!
Overall, everything was just the best! No issues at all! Talega made our dat so magical! I didn't want it to end.
