From start to finish the middlebury inn was amazing, the planning process was made easier with the event planner who was always helpful, thoughtful and prompt with her replies. The service at the Inn was amazing, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious and having multiple guests stay in the same place as the wedding was an easy experience. We were able to have a small wedding without feeling like we were missing anything. The banquet room was beautiful! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day.

I used the Middlebury Inn as my home base for a full wedding weekend this past September (Friday/Saturday/Sunday events). The majority of the wedding guests were from out of town, so we recommended that they all get rooms at the Middlebury Inn so that we were all centrally located. I found the staff at the Inn to be professional, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my wedding weekend went off without a hitch. Many of my out-of-town relatives commented on how much they enjoyed staying at the Inn - it has rustic charm with all of the amenities that folks usually expect at larger hotel chains. Although our wedding was not located at the Inn itself, we hosted a relaxed after-party there, as well as a breakfast. I highly recommend the Middlebury Inn!

Michaela did a very good job planning our wedding and really listening to our need. If u want a place were the staff will really care about ur wedding then... its the place to go! We were 17 in total and it was intimate but I still got a beautiful layered cake and also the waitress took care of our guests and gave us a good service. Nothing to complain...middlebury inn is also a great hotel!

The Middlebury Inn was extremely accommodating for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception! Their wedding planner Michaela was fantastic, professional, reliable and over the top amazing! The staff did an excellent job accommodating 140 wedding guest. The porter mansion was spacious for our wedding parties overnight stay and the main inn provided enough space for our guest. Highly recommended for Vermont style weddings!

We did not have the ceremony at the Inn, but the Inn did host our cocktail hour and dinner reception. Michaela was wonderful to work with. The Inn is beautiful and romantic, the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic and all of the guests had a great time. So pleased with the results.

I got married at the Middlebury on September 1st and I have to say Michaela was an amazing coordinator and helped us make our vision come to life. She was there to answer all of my questions and gave great suggestions as well. The food and service was excellent. At breakfast the day after the wedding the staff was complimenting us on what a fun wedding it was! I love this Inn and this town, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to have an intimate wedding at a beautiful historic inn :-).

I had my wedding here on December 3rd and it was amazing. The entire Inn was decked out for Christmas including the room we were married in, the guest rooms were beautiful, the food was wonderful-especially the breakfast buffet in the morning which I loved more than my husband for about 25 minutes. The wedding planner had left about three months prior to my wedding so his boss took over and was so helpful. She answered every tiny annoying question I had so nicely and promptly. Any time something came up before and during the weekend we stayed she was so quick to correct it and make it better than we started with. If you are planning a Christmas wedding than this is the place, it was gorgeous.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Middlebury Inn on 8/7/20, but the story is a little more complicated than that. We got word at the end of June that our original wedding venue had suffered a devastating fire, and that we would have to adjust our plans. With only 1 month to go before our wedding date (and during the COVID pandemic), we placed a semi-desperate call to the Middlebury Inn. The wedding coordinator at the Inn, Brandy Companion, called me back the next day and by the
end of the week, we had a new venue, new quote, and had put down a new deposit.

There are a few things to review about this experience. The Inn itself as a physical location was stunning. Our wedding party was lodged in the Mansion, which was incredibly convenient and provided us a place to get ready the day of the wedding. The front porches and historic feel of the Inn was awesome; however, there is significant construction going on in downtown Middlebury which is projected to last a few years. While it was quite inside the Inn, the construction was going on from 7pm-7am one night which made for a not-so-relaxing evening sitting on the porch. Additionally, there is really only one road in and out of Middlebury- and the Inn sits directly on this road. This meant that construction vehicles, large trucks, transport trucks for pieces of a bridge (complete with police escort) were driving by the Inn at all hours. My husband and I agreed that this noise did not disrupt our ceremony and our guests said that they did not notice traffic noise within the courtyard where our ceremony and dinner were
held, but this is definitely something to keep in mind if you are
hoping for a quiet weekend in a sleepy VT town.

The wedding itself went off more smoothly than we could have hoped for. Brandy, the on-site coordinator, was always very quick to respond either by email or phone. Our guests handled their Inn reservations with Brandy, and all of them commented on how surprised they were when they heard back from her that same day (seemingly regardless of what time they contacted her).

Finally, the food: I have nothing to review about the food other than it was superb. We chose sirloin steak and scallops as our two entree options, and everyone raved about how good their entrees were. I look forward to going to the Inn on a weekend to enjoy more dinners there!

I don't feel I can accurately review the cost, as our wedding was
planned under unique circumstances and Brandy did everything possible to make this affordable for us. I am not sure what their typical rates are, but my husband and I were honestly floored by how generous the Inn was when we explained our situation.

I would not hesitate to give the Middlebury Inn a 5/5 review were it not for the downtown construction, but do feel it took away very
slightly from our experience there. Ultimately if I had a choice
between re-doing the wedding at another location, or choosing the Inn again (construction and all), we would choose the Middlebury Inn every time!

We were so happy that we found the Middlebury Inn for our wedding this July. We just only wished that the front desk was a little bit more catering to our needs especially toward guest.
