Kelsey is an absolutely amazing photographer and human being. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 which of course did not happen due to COVID, and we tried to reschedule it several times but bad things kept happening to us including our first baby being stillborn, so it was a super long and dragged out process to finally get the wedding in the books. Kelsey was not only patient and responsive throughout the almost 2 year planning process, but she also helped us out with other things, like recommendations for a spa to get a gift card to thank our amazing planner.

We came down to Santa Barbara for a weekend a couple months before the wedding, to meet our vendors and scope things out, and Kelsey provided a TON of input and guidance on places to do our First Look and other photos. She was just so amazingly helpful and kind.

But where her kindness really shone through was on our wedding day. She went SO FAR above and beyond to give us the special day she felt we deserved after all our loss (we also had an 11 week miscarriage 8 months after our first baby was stillborn, and my mom was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in the height of our grief). She truly wanted our day to be as perfect as possible and she really delivered.

My husband and I are both pretty shy, awkward people so we were super nervous for the photoshoot as we hate people looking at us and being the center of attention. Not only did Kelsey (and our wonderful videographer Jennie from Riviera Productions) make us feel completely at ease, but somehow, magically, she actually made it fun?!?!? Taking the photos between the ceremony and the reception was the most fun part of our wedding day, we had a blast and the photos are absolutely BREATHTAKING. Like straight out of a magazine. I don't know how she did it but she made everything look so beautiful and we could not be more thrilled with the photos.

We knew she was good, because I'm the type of person who reads a million reviews and does a ton of research before I book anything or go anywhere, but Kelsey is next level. The photos are far better than anything we could have ever imagined.

Even though we live in the Bay Area, we will be using Kelsey as our family photographer forever. She is worth 9 hours in the car round trip. Heck, I'd drive days to see her! If you're trying to decide who to book, stop wasting your time wading through reviews and just book Kelsey already. She is fantastic and we feel so, so, so fortunate to know her.

So hands down Kelsey is the BEST photographer in the Santa Barbara area! I may be biased since she captured the most gorgeous photos from my husband and our wedding day at the Fess Parker this June, but honestly, she is the best.

Our initial contact, I immediately knew that I wanted KELSEY, because I knew we would click, and we did! She met us when we came down to SB for a visit, as we don't live in the area, and gave me SO many recommendations, including my videographer, sweetheart cake, Flowers! Kelsey was so wonderful to work with from the beginning. She made us feel so comfortable from the start with our engagement photos. We had a wonderful time with her and were really looking forward to working with her on our big day. Working with Kelsey (and her partner Mike as a second shooter) was the perfect choice. You make a lot of decisions when planning a wedding that you can worry about. After our engagement shoot, we were 100% certain that hiring Kelsey was the best possible decision we could have made and there was nothing to worry about. She was professional, creative, encouraging, enthusiastic and fun. Most importantly, the shots were breathtaking works of art. I think that seeing ourselves through her lens actually made us a happier, more confident couple at the wedding.

Sure enough, our wedding roll is stunning, and the wedding party and families really enjoyed working with Kelsey as well. Our wedding was outdoors, and about 20 minutes before it ended, long after we stopped even thinking about photos, she pulled us away for a quick shot she had spent considerable time setting up using the outdoor lights at the venue. She could've been relaxing at that point, but instead she put together a beautiful scene that turned out to be the shot of the wedding. Kelsey is now helping us design a large-scale print to show it off in our home.

Kelsey was wonderful to work with on so many levels. She is warm and positive and extremely calm - which is exactly what you need on your wedding day. I have a degree in photography so Kelsey had to deal with my many MANY opinions; she was so flexible and took all my requests into consideration. The end result is a phenomenal and unique batch of wedding pictures that we love! Couldn't have been happier with her and her work!!

Wedding planning can be one of the most stressful events of your life, and working with Kelsey as our photographer was definitely one of the best and easiest parts of planning our wedding day.

Kelsey was very approachable from day one, and even though we were outside of the Santa Barbara area – she was very flexible in setting up Skype sessions and face to face meetings to accommodate our personal schedules. She truly cared about making sure we were comfortable with her during the entire process. There was no pressure about deciding on a wedding album or other photography services. Kelsey listened to all of our “unique” photography requests! I was concerned about lighting during our photos, as my husband and I have very different complexions (fair and dark). Kelsey handled all with ease and all the pictures came out lovely, even the ceremony pictures where the church did not allow the usage of a flash. When we requested a 2ndphotographer for the wedding day, Kelsey was able to accommodate and her second photographer produced just as amazing images. My family and friends thought Kelsey and her second photographer were so kind and non-intrusive – which is immeasurable during a high pressure event like a wedding.

Even 9 months after our wedding, she continues to be responsive and has repeatedly helped us order ad-hoc engagement and wedding pictures. I wholeheartedly recommend Kelsey Crews Photography for your next special event!

Kelsey is AMAZING!!! She did such a fabulous job capturing our special day. She knew exactly what we would want, without us having to tell her.
