No two photographers "shoot" alike; some may have a similar look but they all draw from their own personal and professional experiences.

Since starting Johnson Photography 19 years ago, I have been privileged to
document people, places and special events, from Chicago to Boston to Europe. My interest in photography started in high school and while in college I spent a year studying in Spain. My time abroad allowed me to explore Europe with my camera. It was there that I developed an appreciation for architecture and design. I continue to draw inspiration from my travels. Over the last few years I have visited Ireland and even photographed a wedding in Florence, Italy.

Today, I continue to grow as a photographer and am always excited to learn or to try something new. I realized a long time ago that it is crucial to stay current and fresh with my work and how I capture and present it. The result has been a timeless style that continues to shape what I do.

Throughout the years I have been fortunate to share many defining milestones with my clients, several of whom have become good friends. From the wedding day to their first child's portrait, family events and other special occasions, I am honored to be invited back year after year to document their lives.

Besides running a business, my life is full of joy with my three children, my husband, my family and friends, all of whom are very important to me. When I am not working, I love to cook and entertain!
