Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
All photos are color corrected and edited to make clients look their best.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We primarily use ambient (natural) lighting to produce the most natural, flattering results, but fill with flash when needed. We have photographed weddings with all different lighting: direct sun, overcast, candlelight, very low light, etc.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot all digital
How many photographers do you work with?
I typically bring one other professional photographer (or two if requested) and occasionally an assistant.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, always.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No, never. I also only shoot one wedding per weekend by choice.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I use a Canon 5D, as well as a Canon 30D for backup and an arsenal of professional lenses, flashes, memory cards, etc.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, always
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Full day, but also offer flexible hourly rates as well.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, available for overtime.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
The only break time would be during the time that guests are eating. Otherwise there are no break times during the day.
Do you charge for travel?
Out of state, or more than 1 hour out of Phoenix Metro, yes.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
2-4 weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Website, online proofing
How long can the client keep the proofs?
We initially release them for 3 months, but re-release upon request.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Photographers always retain the copyright to their photographs. We do offer a disc of the negatives with permission to print them for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, for a fee or with an album purchase.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
Leather, silk, metallic, flush mount, matted and more.
When will the client get the final album?
It depends on how soon the clients pick their images, but typically 3-9 months following the wedding
