About
I've been providing entertainment for wedding receptions and other special events since 1998. My experience includes many years as a radio personality on one of Dallas/Ft. Worth's top radio stations, 94.9 KLTY.

I've integrated into my business philosophy a high level of organization, attention to detail, integrity, personal care, and interest in my clients.

As a Wedding DJ my goal is to make everything from the initial planning process to the last dance at the reception less stressful and relaxing for couples and their families. It's important to me that everyone has fun along the way and I'm committed to making everything run smoothly throughout your entire event!

William is such a great guy. He will put you at ease right from the first minute you meet him. I have worked with him a couple of times and I always have really enjoyed how fun and professional he is. He keeps the room movin' and the bride smilin' and that's the goal, right? He has a great reputation and top notch equipment and computerized technology which presents a very upscale look and feel to his services. I totally recommend him for a classic, sophisticated event...or a down home, intimate party for family and friends.
We chose William as the DJ for our wedding this year, my husband being in radio is extremely picky and the minute he saw William's website he wanted him for the job. William takes care of all of the little details and makes the night run so smoothly. Everyone still tells me how much fun they had at our reception and I know that is strictly because William knows how to keep the dance floor full. I've been at a lot of boring receptions where the music is killing the night, but NOT WITH WILLIAM! He did an amazing job helping us create exactly the atmosphere that we wanted. I recommend him to everyone who wants the best!
William is so good at what he does! He connects with each of his couples and is totally on top of it! You will not have to worry about a thing when you hire him- he takes such care with his bride and groom. He is also a lot of fun and makes the planning such a fun and positive experience!
William Ryan is one of the best djs in the business! He brings charm and charisma to the event and is a true professional. He makes sure the reception is about the bride and groom and keeps your guests dancing.
It says a lot when a DJ refers another. I have worked a job where I worked as a videographer and witnessed Your Night Entertainment do a great job getting everyone going and keeping them going on the dance floor. He's got professional equipment and the ability to use it in a way that fits the event space well. Personality is a plus with DJ's and he doesn't go over board as some might. I would highly recommend Your Night Entertainment to any bride that wants their reception to go smoothly and to be fun.

Frequently Asked Questions for DJ
Describe your DJ style:
Very laid back and classy. I'm not cheesy and I rarely play songs like the chicken dance, YMCA, and the Macarena unless my clients ask me to. I also don't talk on the mic for no reason. Some DJs love to hear themselves talk but I believe in "less is more."

What is your usual attire?
Formal black tuxedo with a black shirt and black long tie. No glitter vests or crazy top hats...

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No way! I'll be sure to have the correct versions of the songs they request.

How many other DJs do you work with?
None...It's just me so you get personal attention every time.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Any length of time is fine with me. My pricing is a flat-rate fee for the night.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely! It's rare that I book a couple without meeting them first. I truly believe that when hiring a DJ it's very important to find someone that clicks with your personality. The only real way to know if I'm the right fit for a wedding is to sit down with me face to face.

Do you bring your own equipment?
Of course, and the thing that's different about me is that I include all of the equipment needed to make an event sound good. This means I usually set up more than just two speakers to achieve the best sound.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
I offer full event lighting design. Check out my website for examples.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I usually need about two hours to set up and test all of my equipment. Most clients have the venue provide a table that's draped to match the room but I always bring tables just in case.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
Nothing out of the ordinary. All of my equipment fits on one standard 6 foot banquet table so I just need enough room to stand behind it. My speakers are very compact so they'll usually fit just about anywhere in a room.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I emcee all of my events. I have a background in radio so I'm very comfortable being the spokesperson at an event. I don't talk unnecessarily though. Guests aren't at an event to hear me talk but they usually need an emcee to help guide them through the events of the evening.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Nope. I usually don't have time to eat at events with all of the things going on so I tell my clients not to include me in their meal count. I also feel it's unprofessional for the emcee to eat in front of the guests. Just my personal opinion.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I network with other local DJs and have agreements set-up with them just in case something were to happen.

What is your overtime rate?
I don't charge anything for overtime. My fee is simply for the entire night.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Depends on how far I'm traveling. If it's within a couple of hours from me then I don't usually need anything for travel. I've done several out of the area weddings and I usually just charged a little for mileage and a room to spend the night after the event.

Tips and Advice
My advice is to interview all of the DJs you’re considering to see if they’re a good fit for your event.  Be sure you feel a peace about them before you hire them.  If you don’t feel 100% confident that they’re the right person, keep looking.  The last thing you want to worry about on your wedding day is whether or not the DJ will be there like he said he would.

Also, book early!  Most people wait on booking a DJ thinking they’ll be available but you’d be surprised how fast some dates book up, especially in the spring and fall.
