The sun begins to close its eyes and give way to the playfulness of night. A gentle breeze flirts with the many layers of your chiffon gown. As your guests wait with anticipation listening to the music that fills the air, your true love is waiting with the Captain, ready to openly declare his love and commitment to you. Then you, the most beautiful woman in the world, make those first nervous steps towards the future with the echo of the sea guiding you forward. Can you picture it?
 
A wedding on a yacht can be the most romantic and unique wedding that you and your guests will ever experience. Between the lapping of the water and the sights and lights of the city, the ambience created is one-of-a-kind. Boats give you something that no other venue can - a wedding that is truly like no other.
 
A very hot trend right now is ‘unique and personalized.’ Couples want their big day to be remembered. It seems that brides and grooms today are looking for unique ideas, unique invitations, unique menus, unique vows - anything and everything ‘unique.’ Finding a different venue to hold their wedding is at the top of the list.
 
Most everyone has attended at least one wedding at a church with the beautiful reception held in a hall or a ballroom. While this option brings a traditional feeling, a lot of bridal couples are screaming for something new. They want a place where they can have some traditional elements incorporated, but the overall effect they desire is less cookie-cutter and more personalized. The solution for this could be a yacht wedding.
 
Daytime or nighttime both offer so much for you and your guests that it may be hard to choose the timeframe. During the day, the sun shines down filling the breeze with warmth and kissing the waves with glitter. The spectacular view of the city is paired with the joy of the local sea lions that play at the north end of the bay. Impressive military ships display their strength and power in contrast to the clear blue skies overhead. The sensation of genuine happiness at daytime yacht weddings is unmistakable.
 
Nighttime attaches a feeling of elegance to yacht weddings and when the city adds its sparkle-factor, the combination is unbelievably magical. You can feel the romance in the twinkle of the stars and the city lights reflecting off the water. With champagne in hand and music in the air, whether daytime or nighttime, your guests will delight in the celebration of your love and the enchantment of the ocean and they will cherish it forever.
 
Some things you should consider when choosing romance on the sea concern space. On a boat, your floor plan options are limited in terms of where you can get married, where you can place tables, where the dance floor is, etc. Boats are not necessarily blank canvases and it is best to not have your heart set on things like round tables and long center aisles as these things may or may not be possible.
 
The reasons for planning a yacht wedding really are endless. Maybe you’d like a destination wedding or you simply love being by the water.  No matter the reason, your wedding will definitely be memorable when you have it aboard a boat! Whether you and your guests are local or are coming from out-of-town, a yacht wedding is truly an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime.
