We offer a mixture of journalistic and traditional with a romantic flair. Capturing the beauty and expression of your special day.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We offer numerous enhancements, including but limited to: sepia, black & white, black & white with color accents, as well as many blurs and blends.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Having photographed weddings for over 7 years, we have experience working with all different types of lighting situations.

Is your media preference film or digital?
We offer both Digital and Film photography.

How many photographers do you work with?
David & Patti Heseltine are a husband and wife team & do all of the photography. However, should the need arise, we do have 2 backup photographers.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. We never "farm out" our services.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?
On rare occasion we will book 2 weddings for one day. But, only if both weddings are very small, and take place several hours apart.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Professional Nikon equipment.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, we have 2 sets of back up equipment, including lenses, flashes and camera bodies.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
At David Heseltine Photography we offer both packages and hourly rates. We customize to suit your needs.

If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime?
Our overtime rate is the same as our hourly rate.

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
We do not require a meal break unless we photograph over 4 hours. One photographer will always be photographing while the other takes a short break. No important moments are missed.

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
On small weddings, no break. On larger weddings, 1 small break.

Do you charge for travel?
If the wedding is over 75 miles away, we may charge a small fee for travel.
|
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Depending on how busy our wedding schedule is, online proofs are usually ready to view in 7-14 days.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We offer online proofing for the choosing of your proofs, or you can view prints.
|
How long can the couple keep the proofs?
Proofs are included in most packages. Therefore they belong to the couple.
|
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, but we offer a reprint release for those who purchase a high resolution disk of the images.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. With permission.
|
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes. We offer them for sale.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes, unless otherwise specified.

What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer a beautiful line of albums. Including, Leather Proof books with each proof package, Custom Flush Mount, Rich Traditional Leather Albums as well as Custom Coffee Table Books.

When will I get the final book?
Your wait time depends on which book or album you choose.

How long does it take to deliver a book?
Books are delivered 4-8 weeks after order is placed.
