Our approach on photography has always been simplicity, never force a shot and always capture the subject in it’s natural environment. On both ends of the spectrum these simple rules, whether shooting landscapes or weddings, hold true with a finished product. Fake smiles or unnatural poses won’t make a beautiful wedding album. At heart we are photojournalists, telling a story captured and told through our photographs. Our style of photography allows us to disappear in the background, capturing the special moments of your day, without being distracting to you or your guests. Being a photojournalist doesn’t mean there is no posing. Formal shots are actually enhanced with this style of picture taking. It’s fun and more candid than you think it would be. Well before wedding day we like to discuss exactly what our couples want from their formals. Traditional, romantic, whimsical, fun or all of the above, we’ll make it happen. Understanding our couples needs helps move things along on their important day. One of the most magical parts of the day is catching the bride, family and friends getting ready. The day is just beginning, everyone is excited and emotions run high. When we shoot a wedding, our intention is not to “run the show”, but to capture the unfolding day as we see it through our cameras. We look for the intimate, artistic, and fun moments between the wedding couple and guests that are natural, spontaneous and real.
