Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
What primary photographic style do you identify with?
What do your packages include?
Albums, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Prints
Do you have liability insurance?
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We individually color correct and touch up all images and do airbrushing and more in depth editing on large canvas prints or album images.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Of course! And when we shoot a location we have never been to we always scout it before the wedding day to see what the lighting situation is so we can be prepared with correct equipment.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We work completely in digital, but we both went to Art school and first learned the art of photography on film, working in a darkroom. Caroline will often shoot a roll of medium format film at a wedding but it is not something we include in our packages at this time.
How many photographers do you work with?
We are a husband and wife team, and you always get both of us.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
The philosophy of our business relies on creating personal relationships with each of our couples. When you hire Caroline & Evan Photography, you are not going to get random photographers from a large company, nor will you get one company photographer and one second shooter hired for the day and who is probably less experienced. You are getting two primary photographers in Caroline & Evan.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We accept only 25 weddings per year and no more than one per weekend. This is how we can guarantee we will be focused, refreshed and available if you need us the day before or after your wedding.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Absolutely. We have many friends and networks to look to in the event of one of us is having a medical emergency. We are member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International & Professional Photographers of America.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We use professional Nikon cameras and prime lenses, off camera lighting, as well as various specialty lighting equipment for diffusing harsh light or lighting receptions (and of course to create those gorgeous first dance shots).
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely, we each carry two cameras and multiple back up lenses.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Our packages are based on full day coverage as photography is usually the most important aspect of the wedding to our clients and we want to capture everything from getting ready to the last dance and exit. Albums and canvases are available a la carte.
Do you charge for travel?
No travel fees apply within the Tampa Bay area (Which includes Tampa, St. Pete, Sarasota, etc.) A small travel fee may apply if the wedding is anywhere else in Florida within driving distance (Orlando, St. Augustine, Naples, Miami, etc) and we are available for destination weddings or couples in other areas who want us to capture their wedding.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
The final fully edited image gallery is ready 2 weeks after the wedding.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
We retain the copyright but provide each client with the high resolution digital files and a "License for Personal Use" form so that couples can make prints wherever they wish.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
There is a model release as part of our contract giving us permission to use the photos on our website and for promotional purposes. We of course, want to show off your beautiful photos on our blog as well! We do have several clients with high profile jobs or reasons they don't want their photos online for personal reasons and we always respect those issues.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Everyone receives a custom PASS gallery with all final edited high resolution images, along with the printing rights.
Will images be available for viewing online?
yes, via their PASS gallery which can be made private or public to share.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer gorgeous modern albums in linen and leather with seamless flush mount pages. They come in a variety of colors from classic black to tiffany blue.

It takes 2 weeks to complete the initial design and then the client gets several rounds of changes. After the album proof is approved, printing times range from 3-6 weeks depending on the type of album ordered.

Caroline & Evan's upgraded version of photo booth! Our open-air booth offers full studio lighting and room for up to 8 people! A photographer is there to help your guests pose or choose from our variety of props (like chalkboard signs and mustaches!) At the wedding, we have custom cards with custom website info and just a few days after the wedding, your guests are directed to an online gallery where they can download their images for free and even upload directly to facebook. Our couples then recieve all the images, edited and the high resolution files put on a dvd.
