About Us

I’ve been a small church pastor for many years. I’ve been with families when they’ve been richer and poorer, in sickness and in health, to celebrate the births of their children and when death parted them. It gives me a special perspective on the sacred nature of wedding vows. A wedding’s not just a party, or even a beautiful ceremony. A wedding is an amazing expression of hope…of faith that we can rise above our frail human natures and create something bigger than the sum of our parts. It's my instinct to be engaged with who you are and what your unique story is.

More than speaking of love, speak of action. What is it that you promise to do and to be, with this person, for the rest of your life? Weave your love story into the story of your wedding to create a meaningful, memorable, and intimate moment for you and for your guests. Make it a moment that you will never forget. I can help you.

I offer two types of ceremonies. Since some couples don't need or want very much, I have the Basic Ceremony. With this option, the couple chooses from three sets of vows and declarations that I provide. The ceremony takes 12-15 minutes. My presence is not required for the rehearsal.

For couples who recognize the value of something different, there is the Custom Ceremony. With this package, I will do research and write a script that complements the couple's personal style and story. This package includes a standard, no-obligation disussion meeting, endless telephone calls and e-mail correspondence, a questionnaire and interview process, a draft and re-write of the ceremony, rehearsal, and cue sheets for the photographers, musicians, planners and coordinators.

Both packages include my filing of the license within 5 days of the ceremony.

My husband and I were married by Beverly on April 21st, 2012. Beverly was phenomenal.

Before we had met Beverly, we had no idea what we wanted in a ceremony. Beverly walked us through the whole thing. My ceremony was exactly what I wanted. It was personalized for us, but, not too long (I was told several times that the ceremony was the perfect length).

Beverly made a point to sit down with us and get to know us. She was in constant touch with ideas for the service, and, she responded to any thoughts we had immediately. She also had some creative ideas for the service which I had never seen in the past, and, I was excited to incorporate into the wedding.

Apart from all the work Beverly did with us, she also made a point to go to the site of the wedding to speak with the people in charge of the venue (we did not get married in a church) to make sure that everything ran smoothly.

I can not say enough how glad we are that Beverly officiated our wedding. She is professional, she is warm, and she has such a calm demeanor which you need when planning your big day. I would recommend her to anyone.
