Designer, Amy Smotherman, has had a spirit of zeal and independance for as long as her mother can remember. After graduating from high school in Mansfield, Texas in the top 2% of her class, she went on to continue her study of music and arts at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. As a lover of the arts, Amy pursued not only her vocal talents but also art and jewelry design in and after college. Amy’s creativity and love for design led to the launch of AmysBridalAccessories.com.

What materials do you use?

At Amy's Bridal Accessories we use the finest materials available including genuine grade A round freshwater pearls, authentic Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crystal components, handmade sculpted flowers and Argentium sterling silver or 14k gold filled wire and jewelry components.

HOW LONG WILL YOUR SILVER SHINE?

There are a lot of bridal jewelry options these days. But what are you really getting when you purchase that discount piece? At Amy’s, we take pride in our designs and quality. And while any bridal jewelry company can say the same, we’ve yet to find one that offers the same quality materials that we do.

 

HOW ABOUT YOUR SILVER?

Most companies use silver plated metal, which results in a very inexpensive piece of jewelry. But did you know that silver plated metal cannot be polished? This means that once it tarnishes (and quickly!) it cannot be restored. You are then left with a tarnished piece of jewelry that has lost it’s beauty.

And what about sterling silver bridal jewelry? When left in open air, sterling silver will tarnish quickly. Multiple polishings may be required and can damage genuine pearls. Who needs the hassle?

At Amy’s, we use the new, amazingly tarnish-resistant Argentium sterling silver in our bridal jewelry, headpieces and hairpins! The result is a longer-lasting, more beautiful piece of valuable bridal jewelry. Does Argentium cost more? Of course. But the cost is less than rhodium (another tarnish-resister) and just as beautiful.
